Used 2016 Honda Pilot Consumer Reviews
Terrible Radio Reception
Do not buy a Pilot if you listen to local radio stations. None of the stations are tolerable. They are ALL staticky, volume changing, and fade in and mostly out. I called Honda and they "logged" the issue. The representative did admit that she had heard about this issue before. Another problem is the touch screen being slow to respond. It's frustrating not having a volume knob. The hooks in the cargo area are too high to attach a standard grocery bag. Storage space and compartments are otherwise well thought out. Mileage around town is 22mpg on Eco setting. The ride is smooth and quiet.

Very pleased '16 Pilot owner
After putting over 1300 miles mostly from a road trip, I am very pleased with our decision to go with the 2016 Honda Pilot Touring. The push button shifter took a while to get used to, but I think I have a hang of it. Things I like so far: -Lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control were really amazing on the highway. Can't ever imagine driving without these features on long stretches of highway. -Snappy infotainment system. Was easily able to access my iPhone music & folders. -Very comfortable front and second row seats. -Easy access to third row seats. -Pretty decent gas mileage for a vehicle its size. Idle stop works well, pretty amazed at how smooth it is. -9 speed transmission is very smooth. I have heard of plenty complaints from reviews, but I have had no issues. -Driver seat setting memory. -Low road noise, well, at least compared to the CR-V and Civic that we had. -HDMI port means that I can play videos from my iPhone to the rear entertainment system (it has been a while since I last purchased a physical movie disc). Things I do not like: -No blind spot monitoring, which is only available on the Elite model. Pretty ridiculous, considering how prevalent it is in some of the more basic trims of other automakers. -Infotainment system crashed a couple of times, though it was quickly able to reboot almost instantaneously. -Unable to input navigation unless vehicle comes to a stop. I understand there is the safety concern, but there are times it is the front passenger not the driver that is accessing the navigation. -Voice command for navigation is terrible. Will probably never use it again. -Touch control interface works well except for volume, which can be a pain to quickly adjust. -Remote control from rear entertainment system seems very outdated. While there is an HDMI port in the vehicle, there is no HDMI option listed on the remote. -Cargo space behind 3rd row is small.

Purchased to haul grandsons
Have been impressed with car except I believe the wind noise from the rear doors appears to be a bit excessive. Mileage has been above expectation. Long term mileage is 27.7 mpg. I have learned to love Honda Sensing. My next car for sure will have these options.

28,000 miles on 2016 AWD touring elite
I purchased my 2016 AWD touring elite in late July of 2015. In 8.5 months I have driven over 28,000 miles. I sold a 2011 Lexus LX 570 for the pilot. Same comfort and room but with better gas mileage, technology and price. Average 23 mpg in town and 28 mpg hwy Smooth ride Quite cabin Plenty of interior room with cup holders and power outlets everywhere. While the 9 speed transmission takes a little time to get use too it works as designed for saving fuel My only two issues-non folding side mirrors and the front windshield is a rock magnet as I have replace the front windshield 2x in the 8.5 months.

Expensive for a little above average
First off before buying a Pilot Elite beware of the following. The Navigation voice activation is useless. After dozens of attempts to utilize voice activation, I have resigned myself to the fact that it just doesn't work at all. I thought that Garmin would have been good, I was mistaken. I t hought the Elite had everything, including dual exhaust, wrong...the CRV does...but not the vehicle that costs 15 grand more. The adaptive cruise control will freak you out when someone enters the lane in front of you in the protected zone. It will panic brake, and thus panic YOU. Again it is useless unless the road is totally clear. I have had issues with the liftgate opening only to immediately close again to clock me in the noggin'. In auto headlight mode, the high beams come on automatically when it feels like it. I am not one to use high beams that often. I have owned many different makes of vehicles, and never had as many issues as I have had with this Honda Pilot. Don't make the same mistake steer clear, without the lane keep assist.
