Used 2004 Honda Accord Consumer Reviews
My 3rd Accord and Not My Last!
I traded in my '96 Accord EX 4dr for an '04 Honda Accord LX 4dr, with the 5-speed automatic and I love it! Yeah, I miss my sunroof, but the overall performance, gas mileage, and reliability outweigh the missing sunroof. I have had no trouble with this vehicle since I purchased it. It had about 16,000 miles on it when I got it earlier this year. Now it has about 31,000 and still riding trouble free. The one thing I do not like is the blind spots in this car. I've had a 2000 Accord LX and a 1996 Accord EX and the visibility in those was great. In this car, not so much. It's like aiming a land yacht sometimes when parking. However, this is still the best one I've had.
Good vehicle
I bought my 2004 EX 4 cyl., navi package brand new. I have been very happy with my purchase. I live in a walkable urban setting so I don't drive that much. I have 54K miles on the car. The only things I have done to it is have the oil/filter changed and fluids topped off (this is done for free every 7,000 miles by the dealer as part of the purchase) and the sunglass holder on the ceiling broke at around 50K miles so I had that replaced. The car didn't need to have any tweaks done when I bought it. There are still no squeaks or rattles. I have bought one new navi CD for it about 3 years ago so I will probably buy another CD next year.

Didn't even mean to buy it....
I went out today to buy my pregnant wife a 2003 CRV. We got to the dealership, drove it, then told the sales guy to write it up. The guy suggested that I take my wife out in an Accord while he did his thing so we took off in a totally loaded 04 with everything possible but the Nav. I fell in love immediately and when we got back I told him to work up some numbers on this one as well... his eyes lit up and we left the dealership with both vehicles. I love this car, and I was about to pull the trigger on a brand new 325i. For the 10K I saved, this car blows the bimmer away in value and performance, and comes really close in handling.
Why didn't I get one of these years ago!
I am hooked on Honda. I have always had an "American" car. I must say I have been missing out. For $4000 less than a new GM sedan I got better mileage and a better value. The little things that make the usefullness of this car is outstanding. From the double pass through back seat, the all in one key fob, the valet security features, and of course the safety.
Scout's Rating
I traded in my 1990 VW Jetta, looking for a sporty four door sedan that would be comfortable for 4 adults whether travelling to evening shows or bicycling events. I find the car extremely fun to drive. It has great exceleration and corners well. The seats are wonderfully comfortable and don't put pressure on the tail-bone.
