2001 Honda Accord v6 LX
I have owned this vehicle for about 13 years bought with 56,000 miles. Currently I have 150,000 miles. Replaced the Transmission at 120,000 miles paid 3,000 dollars. At 128000 had to have valve job done 600 dollars. At 148,000 timing belt and water pump done. 1000 dollars. Poor gas mileage in the town.

Beware Electrical Problems
Generally a very good car. BUT, beware because there is an electrical problem with accessory socket (former cigarette lighter). Honda acknowledges some sort of problem between this socket (which I use for a cell phone charger) and the Supplimental Restraint System (SRS system). I've had to take it in 4 times so far to get it reset, because light is supposed to warn you of a potential problem with the airbags, etc.

I loved my Accord
I got a "lemon" my honda has had 5 transmissions, the driver window won't roll down anymore, lots of electrical issues. My car only has 155,000 miles on it and it's way too much to fix now its having engine problems.
Trans Sucks
I bought this car by believing all the reviews and got dashed my head. With in one week of buying the Honda Accord EX V6 my transmission started giving problem. It got started slipping and engine light blinks and D4 light started blinking. Took it to mechanic and he told that need to rebuild transmission which could be $2000. If you still would like to go for this car , you are great!!!!!!!!
My 6th Accord and probably my best
First off, I've been driving accords for 18 years, and all of them were manuals. I bought my 2001 ex sedan going on 2 months ago from a friend. She got the car in 2002 with 25,000 miles on it; I got it with 217,000 miles. Everything major was recently replaced (timing belt, clutch, seals, brakes, etc). The paint isn't doing the infamous fade/peel like most, it's a manual so no worries about the transmission, the engine is clean with no visible sludge, and the check engine light isn't on. The headlights are a tad foggy and the front bumper has some scratches and scuffs, but this thing was well taken care of! Though it's 15 years old, I plan on driving this car for several years. I have owned a 92, 99, 91, 93, 02, and now an 01. The 1993 ex sedan holds the title, but this one striving to be the best accord I've owned!
