Used 2013 Ford Taurus SEL 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 6A) Consumer Reviews
Great Looking Fullsize
I'm really happy with my purchase of this car. I went with the mid-range SEL and opted for the leather option. Really happy with the car. I have the front drive with 18 inch wheels. It offers a smooth ride, but the wheels still look good, so it's a nice balance. The engine takes a little getting used to as it doesn't feel very torquy in the mid range. This is easily solved with a dose of throttle, a the engine can rev pretty high. The interior is great and I've gotten a lot of compliments from occupants who've said "this is a Taurus?" I'm probably the only 25 year old who bought a Taurus, but am really happy with it. Great bang for buck and it really stands out on the road.
Water pump replacement cost $2000
Car is four years old 85,000 miles. Water pump blew up pouring radiator fluid out. Dealer says internal water pump. Never heard of that before. Pump cost $125, install $1900. This is the first problem I have had with this car. Ford has made a stupid system that only a ford dealer will fix So they can overcharge ridiculously for it. Have to fix it. Can't afford a new car when this is four years old. Any more ridiculous expensive problems and this car is for sale.

The ONLY car on a market for tall family
Superb car! We were on a mission to find a car where our two boys can comfortably fit on a back seat. The problem is - our oldest son is 6'5". After trying literally every full size we finally found the one. I see comments about confining front seats. Not true at all. I love front seats set up. I am 6'2" 220 lbs and have surprisingly lots of room in a driver seat. Car sits high on a road. Very fast (I am not talking about sports cars). It is also long and wide. But doesn't look like a boat. Turnaround radius is surprisingly small. It is also very quiet. Great suspension. You can say the car is heavy, and I love it. Lots of steel to protect people inside.
Only 4 years old and huge repair bill :(
My car is 4 years old and has 102000 miles...i've never had any problems. All of a sudden, the heater stopped working and it was leaking coolant...come to find out it is the water pump...my mechanic, whom i 100% trust, tells me it is a problem only the dealership can fix...from my research online, it was going to be a very expensive repair bill...the car is not paid for, but i traded anyway...i can't see putting over $1,000 to fix the car when it is only 4 years old...what other expensive problems will i have in the future? i am very disappointed in ford...this is my 5th ford, but the problem is enough for me to not every buy a ford again.

Great car
I am a convert from Honda, this is a good product. Lots of room and gas mileage is good at 31. uses less fuel when AC is off.
