Used 2010 Ford Taurus SEL 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 6A) Consumer Reviews
Under water!!!
My 2010 Ford Taurus sel keeps getting water on the passenger floor board. Sometimes it's so much water you can hear it swishing around while driving!. I've taken it to the Ford dealer and they remove leaves charge me & send me home saying they fix the problem this had happened several times I was told to not park near trees to avoid the problem 🤷🏽♀️.. Love the car but hate there's no recall or solution to this issue
Pretty Good
Basics of what makes a vehicle a car are very good - fine fit and finish, drivetrain is plenty powerful, smooth, and flexible. Trunk space is superior. Ride is quiet, but would prefer a bit less stiff suspension and higher profile tires on a family sedan. I don't care about Indy car performance on the curves. I know pizzazz sells, but wish Engineers would shift emphasis a bit from entertainment and novelty to utility. Steering wheel paddle switch shifting to play manual transmission is an idea whose time should have never come. Long after the shine wears off, such mundane things as a garage door opener and a trash container - not included - would be more satisfying.

I have always liked Ford cars!
I really do like this car. I received a lot of compliments on it as well. It's very quiet and rides nice. I purchased it from an auction and it wasn't taken care of too well. Took me a little time to get it back in order; but now it runs great I'm very happy with it! I would recommend Ford Taurus to anybody! It's definitely comparable to my Lincoln Town Car that I had. In fact I prefer it because of all the bells blinkers and buzzers that has! I love the SYNC sound system. It will talk text messages for you and you can talk text messages for it to send back!

Get the kids out of design department
Had an '08 put 60K on it, great car lots of room. '10 is basically same pan with zoom zoom styling. Ford forgot to put a back seat in this version. Too bad. Last year had limo- like room in back, this one has same leg room as Fusion. Roof chop WAY too aggressive. Has passé "Gangsta" look. It's juvenile and restricts outward visibility to point of dangerous; like being in a machine gun bunker. Rear headrests block so much that they will cause cut offs on highway. Center console big enough to bury a body in. Why? So what's good? Engine & tranny (carryover), handling not bad for a big car, good mileage for this class, much improved seats (front). Last model was great. Ford sold out for the bling.
What a Car!
We have had our Taurus a little over a month and have driven it 2500 miles to date. Coming off from 3 Park Avenues, the ride is not as smooth as a Buick, however the overall ride is very satisfactory and the fuel economy is great. Averaging about 30 on long distance driving, and 26 with city, freeway, and short trips. What amazes me is the attention the design is getting, with strangers wanting to know more about the car. Have had at least a dozen comments so far on how sharp it is and they cannot believe it is a Ford Taurus. They also comment on the interior design and spacious trunk. Would recommend this car to anyone looking for a well built, fun and comfortable car to drive.
