2021 Ford Ranger Lariat 4dr SuperCab 4WD SB (2.3L 4cyl Turbo 10A)

I did all my research on the internet and from what I read I was sold on the Ford Ranger. I bought the truck from a dealer 3 hours away and they delivered it that evening. The comments I get on this truck tells me I made the right choice. I don't put allot of miles on each year but I have taken two trips and the MPG is great. I average 23MPG around town and almost 30MPG on the road. If anyone would be interested in a mid-size truck this is the one to purchase. I managed to fine the 4X4 Lariat model and could not be happier.

2021 Ford Ranger XLT 4dr SuperCab SB (2.3L 4cyl Turbo 10A)

I purchased the Super cab so I could get the longer bed. Since I would likely never have people in the rear seat this worked well for me. PRO's Better looking than the 2021 competitors. The economy and the acceleration of the truck are awesome.(25 mpg combined) Only truck I could find with chrome wheels and bumpers (albeit the wheels really aren't chrome?) Cons: The ride is harsh on bumps and rough road. The 10 speed transmission bogs down at slow speed. In my neighborhood with 20-25 mph speed the truck tries to stay in sixth gear and sounds putrid. I remedy this by forcing it down to #5 using the buttons on shifter (P.I.T.A.). The paint quality is lacking. ( I have a 2015 suv @ 75.000 miles with far fewer nicks/dings that the Ranger with only 20,000 miles. (Even the chrome wheels have dings) My final observation was that I was disappointed with the XLT trim level.(Where this represented a fairly well appointed mid-level trim etc, it now seems to be very basic not even including power driver seat. Con's

Ranger Safety Canopy System Saved Our Lives!

Smokie Grey Ranger, 11/19/2024
2021 Ford Ranger Lariat 4dr Crew Cab 4WD SB (2.3L 4cyl Turbo 10A)

We purchased a new 2020 Ford Ranger Lariat in Shadow Black with the 501A options group and had the truck for nearly 4 years - very smart looking and comfortable to drive. Last October we were involved in a head-on collision with our Ranger and aside from my wife’s broken ankle and my black eye from the airbags/chest bruising and strain from the seatbelts the Ranger Safety Canopy system saved our lives - such a safe truck if the unthinkable happens and kudos to the Ford safety engineers! With that said we purchased a low mileage 2021 Ford Ranger Lariat in Carbonized Grey and blackout trim, 501A options group with black lacquer rally wheels - super sharp looking! Truck rides beautifully, we love the black leather trimmed seats and Bang and Olufsen 10 speaker stereo system - truly a luxury SUV ride - technology package is excellent, gas mileage is great for a mid-sized truck and enjoy (as we did before)the peace of mind the Off Road Fx4 Package brings should snow turn our roads into a challenge. You really don’t have to worry about mechanical issues as long as you bring your Ranger in for it’s regularly scheduled maintenance. Highly suggest having the inner Ford Toughbed bed liner for the cargo bed, along with the OEM Ford tonneau cover - this makes the truck more aerodynamic thus gas savings. Also suggest installing the aftermarket gas strut damper for the tailgate as we did to avoid it slamming down. We noticed that the 2021 Ranger Lariats do not come with the factory installed engine cover as our 2020 Ranger Lariat, but will order this separately to cut down on the noise the eco boost engine makes. Also suggest washing your Ford Ranger with a power washer/foam cannon system to avoid fine “spiderweb” scratches on the clear coat finish which are nicely applied at the factory, and to keep the OEM Hankook OWL tires when replacement is warranted to preserve original Lariat off road package ride and feel - do rotate tires at each oil change - this comes with Ford’s “The Works” oil change service and it’s worth the money for your Ford Ranger investment! Overall a wonderful truck and yes, you can “nitpick” the Ranger but for your money it is better equipped at each trim level offering than other trucks in its class, and with reasonable care retains it’s value very well! We also feel it’s the safest mid-size truck out there - the Five and Four Star safety ratings are for real folks - I would not be here writing this review if it were not for the Ford Safety Canopy System - thanks and I hope you enjoy your Ford Ranger as much as we do!

I had a 2018 Tacoma and we needed to by a 4 door truck so i could pick up our grandsons from school this year. Went to the dealership where we bought the Toyota didn't see a one my wife said look at that Ranger. Love at first site we didn't even take out for a test ride. I am 68 years old I know vehicles this is a great truck since July 15th we have put a little over 6,000 miles on the truck.

Although I’ve only driven the 2021 Ranger less than 100 miles so far , it has exceeded my expectations and has provided a wow factor. The fit, finish, and driving experience, although, very short at this time is excellent.
