Very impressed with this version of Ford Ranger
I have recently traded in a 22-year old Ford Ranger XLT 4X4 Extended Cab on a 2020 Ranger Lariat 4x4 Crewcab . My old Ranger still looked like new as I garage keep my vehicles and had never given me any problems in 22 years! It was the best vehicle I had ever owned! Based on that history I purchased another Ranger. I was thinking I would get another V-6; however, when reviewing the HP and torque specifications on the new Rangers compared to my 1999 Ranger I found a big advantage with the new 2020 Rangers. They do not disappoint as the engine and transmission have the power and smoothness to impress any truck driver. It is a very attractive truck that drives well and is comfortable to drive. I will partially agree with some reviews that I wish the truck had a 6 foot bed option, but the 5 foot bed is really not a drawback for me as any building materials and landscape items I have needed to carry the truck has been able to accommodate with ease. I find the truck perfect for my needs, but will say if I had to identify any drawback at all it would be it can be a bit bumpy over uneven roads. On the other hand it has been smooth on the highway, and I had expected the truck to be a little bumpy as that has been my experience with all of the 4x4 trucks I have driven. The ride is just a little stiffer on 4x4's!

Ford Limited to Ford Ranger
I owned the 2016 Ford Limited for 5 years years before selling and getting a new Ford Ranger Lariat. The lariat I chose has every option you could add on. I love the truck the same as my limited. I do not haul anything ever as well. I run residential framing company so a truck is a must. 4x4 stays on all winter long. I’m saving $80 a week in gas right now and insurance dropped $40 month as well from switching vehicles. It has enough power with the twin turbos and comfortable inside as well. I have read a lot of reviews of people being negative about it but not me. It’s a mid range truck with lower end pricing? Why would you expect a 90K truck for a 48K price tag? I recommend this truck to anyone who doesn’t have to haul trailers daily and wants to save on gas. Awesome simple truck

My Regnar Drof 2020
It's a really sharp looking vehicle. Especially if you dress it up with mud flaps, a sprayed in bed liner, side step-up rails, and a towing hitch, along with some plastic edge trim around front of the hood to prevent dings and stone chips, along with vent trim around all the side windows. Mine's a 4 door crew cab....2020 XLT 4X4 SPORT. The thing I like about this truck is its clean lines and looks, Ford did a really good design job on this mid-size truck, they really made it rugged looking. The thing I really like about it out of all the mid size trucks is its best in class payload, 1560lbs. best in class trailer/boat towing capability 7500lbs. best in class torque 310 ft. lbs. and the 270 hp 2.3 liter eco-boost turbo engine. It's very quick for a truck ! It accelerates faster than any other new mid size trucks on the market 0-60 times around 7.6 seconds. And if you put a tune on it that will bring the launch time down to around 4.7 seconds !! The ride is comfortable, all the features are great....power folding mirrors, blind spot detection, auto bright lights on/off feature, lane keeping feature, adaptive cruise control, sirius XM, as well as plenty of storage and pockets everywhere especially the fold up back seat with storage underneath......when you lift the rear seat with the pull strap lever, it locks up-right into place, you can lay a beach chair flat on the back floor, as well as a lot of other large items. All that being said. Those are the pros. But, I have a few cons/dislikes about the truck. Only 1 of the four windows "the drivers window is auto down and up" - why couldn't Ford make them ALL auto down and up??? The other thing is getting into the truck....I'm 5' 11" and I have no problem sliding into the drivers seat, the only thing is I have to duck down a little to get in, which is a bit uncomfortable...so not quite enough room to easily get into the truck. The other dislike is that it doesn't have push button start, it uses a switch-blade-like key fob ??? really Ford ???? 2020 and you don't put push button start in this thing ????....also can't keep the truck running and locked when I stop and jump out to go into the quick check like I could with my Mustang. With the truck, I'd have to shut it off, get out, close the door, then restart and relock the truck...so dumb....now discovering that with my other vehicle that I traded in, the Mustang had push button start, you could leave the car running, take the key fob, get out, close the door, the car would make 2 little beeps/chirps to let you know the car is still running and securely locked....a much smarter feature. Also my mustang had an option where you pushed the unlock button once, and then held down on the unlock button a second time on a hot scorching day the two windows would roll down automatically before getting in and starting the vehicle...but not with the Ranger ??? I miss that feature a lot. The other thing that's missing is a CD player, AND the ability to tune the FM stations without having to disconnect my apple I phone. My mustang had a button that I could push that would automatically revert back to the car and radio settings without having to disconnect my phone to see and change the radio stations??? where as I had like 12 -15 presets for radio stations on the mustang..I don't think the Ranger has that ability, you have to turn a knob to look for a station ??? The other big thing I don't like about this truck is that it is very hard to see the blue and red buttons for cold and hot on the AC/heat controls during the day, you have to take your eyes off the road to search for them, not good, I guess Ford wants you to use that adaptive cruise control and lane keeping feature a lot to stay safe while fumbling for the buttons you can't see on the dash /???, not good !!!! and the gear shift lever does not illuminate at night. !!!! So there are quite a few little down falls of having the truck VS having the Mustang...it was actually easier getting into the Mustang however a little difficult getting out where as the truck is easier getting out of but a little tricky getting in. Getting the truck was a bit of a compromise. Guess I'll just have to get used to some of the archaic ways of this truck FORD really needs to update some of it's archaic features on this truck. Other than that, I'm happy with it. Now I'll be able to tow a boat !!!! certainly can't do that with a Mustang.

Nice ride for a Ford truck. Happy with the gas mileage after 1000 miles. On-board Wifi is a way for you to pay Verizon to receive unsecured WiFi signal. The back seat is more than adequate for average sized adults. Don't plan on putting much behind the back seat, very limited space.
