Used 2006 Ford Mustang Consumer Reviews
Perfection within the framework
My wife and I have had this car for 3 months and it is exactly what we wanted and expected. The 5-speed transmission is easy to operate and the horsepower is always just a pedal away. The car has nice balance and really hugs the road at speed. Tire spin and oversteer are not difficult to avoid, but reliable in their consistency with no nasty surprises if you're trying to slide around a bit. The only complaints I could make are the lack of a few creature comforts. A power passenger seat, heated seats, and climate control would be nice. But I understand that Ford left out a few frills to keep the price down. This car was designed to go fast and look good doing it. Mission accomplished.
Almost perfect
I bought this after owning a '88 LX 5.0. It is a larger/heavier car and isn't as agile as I would like. Engine/trans are smooth and interior is comfortable, especially seats. Handling/ride is so-so with outdated solid axle. Motor is smooth and quiet and not as torquey as 5.0 engine. Overall a good car, but doesn't give me an adrenalin shot like the old car did.

2006 gt premium
Bought new, my red dream stang has performed, well, overall. Interior, passenger side vent rattles, interior tail light housing held in place by flimsy, plastic screw assemblies. Closing the trunk causes the rear lights to blink. On positive side, average over 20.5 miles per gallon, everywhere!. Car used mainly to go to gym and back and to the beach on weekends. Runs fast, but interior is noisy. Hope Ford adds interior insulation package to 2010
The Pony Returns
Purchased 9/3/05. Sonic Blue/Black GT Premium Convertible w/auto, leather, IUP, upgrade rims, Shaker 1K, alarm. Convertible feels just as stable as coupe. Little to no body twist. That's why I opted for convertible vs coupe. Very quiet w/top up under most normal conditions. Low noise w/top down. Average MPG is 21.2 for the 1st 800 miles (90% city).
2006 Mustang GT
Big bang for the buck. Roomy enough for two and space for luggage. Great styling inside and out. Constantly get positive comments on redfire color and 20" wheels and tires. Great handling and breaking. Acceleration is great and lays rubber on command. Great rumble from dual exhausts--may upgrade to Ford racing exhaust. Worth every penny of $31,000 price tag!
