This car is a sleek mid size sedan which provides a smooth ride on all types of road. It maneuvers well especially when it zips into a parking space. While the car is roomy for five passengers, there is a large trunk that can haul more than two popular SUV s I previously owned. There are many amenities including Bluetooth and the back-up warning system. More importantly, it has a high(4.4/5 stars) safety rating.

Mixed feelings

Bought the vehicle used at the end of 2019 with 109,000 miles from one owner, purchased an extended 3 year warranty from Ford - it paid for itself when the transmission needed rebuilt, worth noting when the transmission started to fail I was able to drive it home, it just had to be accelerated slowly to get it up to speed - it didnt leave me stranded on the road side at least. Now at 130,000 wondering when I should let it go, looking it over I noticed the lower cross member has a thumb sized hole rusted through - I only drive this car 40 miles round trip to work in Cleveland, Ohio - wish I was in Arizona like the other review I read on these, I think any car would last beyond 300,000 miles in that weather with good maintenance. My dealer maintained 2011 Fusion from the original owner to myself seems to be good mechanically overall, but in areas with seasonal liquid de-icer / rock salt I think the steel quality is poor based on comparison to the 20 year old Trailbeast I own that sits outside the garage and has no rust on the body panels (unlike my Fusion).

Best Car Ever Owned

First, I own and drive the 2011 Ford Fusion SE with the automatic transmission. ( Not a listed option for this model under review section as it should be. ) I have been buying and driving all makes and models of cars since 1967. The most impressive thing about this car is it's thoroughness in it's excellence from the most major thing to the most minor thing. It does EVERYTHING well that a car driver would hope and expect a car to do. I have the completely loaded version and I challenge anyone to find a better fully loaded midsize family sedan for under 25,000 sold in America. If you do, please let me know as I will have to see it to believe it!

Won't Stop Running

I bought my 2011 in 2012 it was a program vehicle. I love it and up until this year I had no issues. In May 2014 when I removed my key from the ignition the car motor was still running. I was able to put the car in gear and drive with the key in my hand. My husband pulled the battery cable to get the car to shut off. I called the local Ford Dealership and took the car in to check it over. They told me it was a bad battery, so I replaced the battery. In September 2014 the car started doing the same thing again. I took the car back to the same Ford dealership and they called the Ford Hotline and was told it was a valve. $88 later and my car still will not shut off, we have to pull fuses.

I have owned this car since 2012 and of course the first couple years is a wonderful car it drives very good on the highway but thank Goodness I found another car as my daily driver I’m currently averaging 15 to 20 highway currently in this car I have had trouble with the transmission at 125,000 miles I was advised to replace it I did I’ve done about four spark plug changes between all of this the sticker says 23 to 32 I’ve never gotten over 28 without putting premium gas in this thing on a 100% highway if anyone is looking to buy this car I would recommend looking at Fuelly for any car you are looking at it if you’re getting idea of a car true mileage sure twoorthree MPG’s difference with power is a good trade off in this car I have test driven it and compared with people it’s a 3300 pound midsize sedan the intended power plant is a V-6 it acceleration is just lackluster the interior is very upscale besides the performance its very good for this car except for the driver door handle replaced that about three times now made poorly the car is wonderful to look at but with the base engine as they always say looks can only get you so far AC lines are known to crack or replace had to replace blower motor cuts on when it wants to now or not
