Used 2010 Ford Flex Limited 4dr Wagon AWD w/EcoBoost (3.5L 6cyl Turbo 6A) Consumer Reviews
Jack of all trades
For those of you who want a sports car, comfy seating for long trips, usable interior space for building materials, good visibility, good winter driving, low entry for older parents and towing capability this it the best there is now. I've had the Mercedes equivalent and it was quieter, dealt with high snow better, had better seats, but it had less space inside for hauling stuff, too high for grams, was not sporty, and was a lousy tow car (i tow a 4000 lbs load). On the other hand, the flex was great at towing and if you have ever had a highway load sway experience, the built automatic sway correction is a religious experience. The connections are built in for the aftermarket brake control
Great Car
Great CUV. Test drove other crossovers of similar size and nothing drove as well or was as comfortable. The Ecoboost engine is worth the extra money over the base engine. It is very smooth and powerful and the Fuel Economy is very close to the base V6.

I always get compliments in parking lots
I love to drive this car! The Ecoboost makes highway acceleration effortless. The leather interior makes me forget it's the family car, and I will never own a mini- van. I have three car seats in the back, and it's easy to switch to the third row seats when needed. I also get stopped frequently by admirers of my candy red paint with the white roof. I do mostly highway driving, and I get about 20 mpg consistently.
As the wife says "Love it"
We traded in a two year old Edge for the Flex. She wanted something that she could see out of. Of course I wanted a Taurus SHO. We compromised, she got the Flex, and I got the EcoBoost AWD and 20" wheels. The best of both worlds, a Taurus SHO station wagon. By far it's the nicest vehicle we have ever owned. Clean styling, lots of room, very comfortable, very good handling, and for me, fun to drive.
Flex/Box
Just purchased, so that being said... Love it at this point. I did not want it, the wife did. I would have loved to have picked up a Sequoia but with all the toys it defeated the purpose of saving some $$ This ride is tight. Somebody gets it at Ford. Not the aesthetic dept. but engineering team did some homework. Things are where they should be and they work. The paddle shifters are a great feature to snap you out those times you see yourself driving by a window. Handles great, breaking you feel that you've got some weight behind you. Coming from an H2 its a little better but close. NAV system and voice rec. is very good, parking assist is really cool. If your a Mac, its a Mac.
