I stumbled onto the Novato Ford lot to rule out purchasing the vehicle and 2 hours later I owned it. The dealership was exceptional and the Escape the brought me to test drive screamed at me to purchase it. I'm sure it was one of the best purchases I've ever made and every day I own it I think how lucky I am. Coming cross country was such a blast. I experienced all the usual weather patterns for the summer and the vehicle never even flinched. It handles so much like a car on the street and I find it comforting to know that I can take it off road when necessary. So now I'm a Ford man and very happy.

the ford escape is a good dependable suv.the two down falls that i have are the mileage and rough ride. i drive min. 30k miles a year and it seems i'm constantly filling the escape up. as far as the ride it's a little rough. at times one could get motion sickness on a ride that consists of alot of turns.

i love my escape but transmission went at 15,000, bearings at 30,000, back winshield wiper broke after 20,000.it is fast strong engine, always willing, strong feel to truck and perfect, size. feel bad i have so many miles on(30)it and I'm not sold on how reliable its gonna be from here on in. (although first car i ever owned that i havent had to put on break pads, etc. with this high milleage. it has never let me down but i'm still leary about reliability. will not keep it past warranty! also it was great in the snow!!ok now i think i talked myself into looking at another one.

Ford Escape, a good buy?

I bought my Escape after having my daughter. I needed a bigger car & a car that was good in the snow. I liked the look of the Escape so I looked into it & ended up buying one. I am pleased with my purchase. I did however have some problems with it. A couple months after buying it, the gears wouldn't shift properly. I brought it in & the computer needed to be updated. Then my tires needed to be replaced. Overall, the Escape is a nice, reliable car, but if you are looking for a car that is great on gas, this may not be the car for you.
