Really, Transmission?

Evidently Ford did not test out this transmission, this day and age, it's ridiculous to have this trouble in a brand new vehicle.

Had an escape for years and really liked it. I just wanted something a little bigger so I bought an Edge! Wow, great room, great ride, great options, I love my Edge!

Ford Edge Review

Jim Phelps, 05/31/2024
2019 Ford Edge Titanium 4dr SUV AWD (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 8A)

I really like all the features on my 2019 Ford Edge Titanium. Unfortunately the lane assit does not work properly. It stopped working after about this year with about 35,000 miles. And to make matters worse, I took it to 2 Ford dealers who were not familiar with the operation of this option and could not fix it. I sent a letter to Ford Consumer affairs requesting help. My request was simple - give me details on the operation and the repair procedures for the lane assit that I could give to a Ford dealer. I did not get a reply. While there is a lot that I like on this Ford, I do not like driving and owning a car that is not 100%. I am going to sell it and get a Toyota RAV 4 Hybrid. As a side note one dealer did not charge me anything because the did not fix it, the other dealer charge me $269 for the diagnosis and said it was working properly. I have top of the line maintenance and repair coverage with Endurance. They do not pay if there are not parts involved. They did cover $100 because “I was a good customer”.
