Best Ford Edge in my book. Mine is a 2018 Ford Edge SEL AWD with the V6 3.5 liter engine. Bought it on September 11th 2021 as a Ford Certified Gold vehicle. So far after 3 yrs and counting she runs and drives GREAT. Just regular oil changes at Ford Reccomended every 6000 miles (Synthetic) me and the wife have driven it on vacation a few times with NO ISSUES so far. NO RECALLS yet. Drives awsome in Michigan winters. The only thing I wished it had was Fog lights not the led triangular things that do NOTHING for Michigan fog.The hallogen it came with I changed it out with LED, dont even turn high beams on, they are so bright. CD/Mp3 in dash player works great. Leather seats. I'm going to drive this to the ground!!! All the new Ford Edges dont have v6. Yall can keep your 4 cyl Turbos. And a radio. EDMUNDS the 2018 Ford Edge SEL came with a naturally aspirated V6 NOT a 4 cyl.

Original 2018 Ecoboost 2.0L turbo engine will fail

This is a great looking vehicle with a luxury interior. However, per TSB 22-2229 the engine is highly vulnerable to coolant intrusion. The 4 cylinder turbocharged engine design for this year (and a few others) will inevitably result in coolant entering cylinder(s) ending in catastrophic engine failure. We bought our used at 72,000 miles and paid thousands to completely replace the engine at 82,000 miles. The newer design eliminated the issue by using properly drilled coolant holes instead of the grooves originally scored between the cylinders. We will never buy another Ford and will avoid turbocharged engines with small displacement, 4 cylinders or less.

I have a full loaded SEL,.love the panoramic sunroof, the handling, turning radius, and leather interior. I purposefully bought one used with the v6 which is a great engine. Wish this came with air conditioned seats, but that's the only con I have. Replaced wrecked Lincolm MKZ sedan which was similarly loaded (but was a hybrid w/AC seats), and aside from the gas mileage I like the taller vehicle with the hatchback better! With all the extras this is basically a Titanium. Had to pick wrong vehicle type below bc it didn't have my engine.

get an warranty on reflective bar. Gets condensation and water in it. The rear reflective still has water and condensation inside reflective. It has to replaced about a dozen times and it still has water inside and condensation inside. They never fixed the condensation and water inside reflective. Now it's out of warranty. Costs about $1000.00 Ford has never fixed the problem. The 2018 Edge is a great car. Only problem is the reflective on the rear of the car, between the rear brake lens.
