2.0 engine crap

engine was cast with issues in coolant passage ways way too thin and letting coolant leak into cylinder and destroy engine. design flaw that bit them in the butt. trying to rob Peter for Paul. Engine temp light doesn't come on most times, engine trouble light does not have to come on either, problem most likely slowly failing for long period of time. if your out of warranty, your on the hook for a $7 to $8000 engine long block replacement. Car is worth about $11-$13,000. you are stuck with a piece of junk, I'm trying to convince my wife to cut our loses and get another SUV, not Ford, I have been loyal Ford customer for 40 years. A shame. No more quality control in place from design to finish product. ford this week admit they are over 2billion in warranty work this year so far, wants to have better control, so they deny liability in their work and leave a lot of people mad. 4x worse than all of GM.

so far, my only complaint w/ the car is the location of the cup holders in the front console. They should be in front of the gear stick, not behind - as it is now, it is difficult to grab your water bottle. 6 mos. later: does not seem to be getting good gas mileage however, I have not checked the mileage. Still love the car - except for the cup holders! 1 yr. later: Still love the car except for the cup holders; have not checked the mpg 1.5 yrs later: Still love the SUV. Gets lots of compliments on the color - appears blue, green, gray, even black under certain circumstances. The cup holders stil bug me! Still love the car - except for the placement of the cup holders; have not checked the MPG but don't drive it enough to be concerned. The color has gotten several compliments.

Nice Ride

Very comfortable and very quiet ride. The 2.0 turbo engine is completely adequate for acceleration needs. The vehicle gives a smooth ride. The braking is excellent and the steering is tight. I don't like getting in and out of the front since I have to duck or bang my head on the opening(I am an average sized man so tall people will suffer more). My dealership has been poor in follow up support. However, the vehicle thus far hasn't needed anything more than an oil change. So far, so good. Decent ride.
