Great Car worth whatever you pay
I bought my first Stealth may, it was a dream car of mine, a 1994 ES. It ran great for the first month, then I had some problems (at a very high cost) a $1000 fuel tank and pump and $500 worth of brake work. There were quite a few problems, but I bought the car with 150,000 miles on it so I guess I should have seen that coming. Recently, however, I was lucky enough to find a cheap 1993 R/T with only 83,000 miles and a standard tranny. This car runs awesome I can't complain, it is easy to drive, and every time I take my friends out to show them what it can do, they are amazed. This thing is a 4200 lb sports car with 222Hp and drives like this? I can't imagine what a tt would be like.
Nothing Stealthy about it!
One of the best cars (out of 35+) I've ever owned. Great, head-turning styling to this day, good acceleration for a non-turbo, and comfortable seating. I've made 15-hour drives (Boca to DC) with only two gas stops and still had no back issues. The 20-gallon tank makes long trips a breeze, getting over 500 miles per tank. Have spent almost nothing on maintenance

Brilliant to the bone
I have read all the reviews on here, and the newest being over 4 years old i am amazed that the things said about the looks of this car still hold true. I have the RT 5 speed, with leather interior, custom wheels, this car not only looks awesome but runs and drives like a dream. Easy to work on when theres a problem, and makes me feel like a kid again when im behind the wheel. Best investment ive ever made. Have no idea why they stopped making them ,but they will be a car to collect.
I scored when I found this one!
This is one spectacular automobile. I found it in Irvine, CA with under 55,000 well cared for miles. It is stock and original. I paid $8500 cash and have put another $1600 in for 60,000 mile service and timing belt. Clutch is stiff compared to my Plymouth Laser RS (AWD/turbo), but easy to get used to and necessary due to awesome power. The car has original red paint in excellent condition due to being garaged all it's life. I'm 65 years old, and this is the best car I've ever owned. Next in line would be my 56 Chevy Bel Air convertible purchased in 1962 and my 1992 Plymouth Laser bought in 1999. The Laser and Stealth are related in being Mitsubishi designs.
Best car I ever owned!
I've had my Stealth for 16 years and I still love it! The style is a classic sporty style that will never go out of style. This has been the most dependable vehicle I've ever owned! The only negative I could come up with is that the turning radius is huge and it isn't very comfortable for traveling much more than 1 1/2 hrs. If you take a road trip in a Stealth, you do need frequent breaks to get out and stretch your legs! Don't count on taking anyone in the "backseat" because there is absolutely no room! But then again, it's a sports car so what do you expect! I can't say enough positives about the 1994 Dodge Stealth, it's paid for itself many times over!
Base model handles better than my 2014 Camaro SS !
Picked this beauty up for $1800 on Craigslist . What wasn’t beautiful was that the fuel tank was rusted , blew 3 fuel pumps back to back, leaving me stranded. That’s because it sat in the previous owner’s garage for 15 years. Got a used fuel tank, very easy to install. New plugs, wires , timing belt and water pump. 20,000 miles later and it still runs quite well for its age. Mine came with the base 164HP 3 liter single cam engine. I am also told that the plus side of this particular motor is if it breaks the timing belt, it won’t bend the valves , hence a non interference engine. Easy to work on too as I’m a DIY mechanic . Good enough acceleration with the 5 speed manual for my commute to and from work. It gets compliments almost every day. ( : It won’t beat a modern day V6 like the Camaro, but it does take the turns better with stock rims/tires over my 2014 Camaro SS 6 speed manual. Definitely worth a look if you want a nostalgic car that looks sharp to this day.

Red Rocket II
After owning a 91 rt/tt (see review), I decided to finally buy another one a year after selling the 91. Big mistake. The styling of the 94 was not as great as the 91 and the 6 spd was much clumsier than the long ratioe 5 spd. I bought the car in ca and drove it north to wa. The handling was unpredictable and the performance lacked feeling. Felt like a Dodge car instead of a Mitsubishi 3000gt which it was. This came out in the rain 5 days after buying it when the car spun out at 45 mph on a relatively straight freeway onramp (with proper tires). Both of us walked away with sore backs and a prayer as the car was a total loss after it hit the fence backwards. Go buy a low mile 91-93 R/T instead.
Fun Car
Very reliable and fun to drive, gets a alot of looks.
Great Car!
If you're looking for a fun car, this is it! Easy to drive, lots of extras, and a great deal pricewise thanks to the SUV revolution. It's reasonable to find one for under $10K...pretty good for a car that was valued at around $40K when new just nine short years ago. An all around great sports car with styling that leaves Corvettes of that age wanting. Low, wide profile with big Z-rateds round off this future classic.
Best Car made in Anybody's Lifetime
This was my first car. The power response from the gas pedal to the acceleration is one of a kind, turns on a dime, with after market parts exceeds 800 hp. Smooth ride but rugged when needed. Slices through air like a hot knife through butter. Never got one ticket, played it safe. But if I did it would be for tripling the high way speed limit.
1993 Stealh RT/AWD AWS Twin Turbo
Oustanding Camaro SS buster! If you could the look on thier faces when they are smoked by a Dodge!
I love my Stealth!
Although I haven't had it that long, I have quickly fallen in love with this car. Before, the only things I'd ever shifted were Suzuki Samurais and Nissan pickups. This was an easy adjustment, it's so agreeable! It has every option available that year, so I'm a little spoiled! I'm only 17, and I know it's the fastest, prettiest thing in the school parking lot. It gets the attention of a lot of rubberneckers!
94 Dodge Stealth R/T Luxury
Have had no problems with this car since I have bought it. I've owned it for about 6 months and it has been very dependable. Handling and power is impressive. Turns heads at every corner. Very pleased with performance. Needs few repairs done only because of its age and mileage. Really is a great buy for the money and performance. This style is very rare to see and I am a proud owner. I plan on keeping this car for a long time.
Sweet Ride
Bought the car after highschool, owned it for about a year and a half and had virtually no problems. Only ones were fuel filter, and carbon build up in the intake caused stalling. Car was great fun to drive, superb ride although soft handling due to non-turbo suspension. Car was very reliable, heater and A/C took a while to come on but both worked flawlessly. The V6 had great power, and torque whenever you needed it in any gear. All nessesary features were easily accessable to the driver. Front seats held two adults comfortably, however rear seats seemed they were added merely to lower insurance costs. Even without ABS option the brakes performed exceptionally
Best value on the market
I had a lot of time to research the purchase of my first sport car. The Stealth/3000gt beats every car out there in options and value, just falling short of the new vette and cars of that class. This is unbelievable considering what you can buy the Stealth for these days. It is often thousands less than a VR4 with the same millage, even though theyare the same car! There are many ways to upgrade the car, and given the rarity ofthe Stealth many people think it is somesort of Viper. Performance will blow you away, put on an aftermarket suspension and there is no limit to the handling of this car. Upgrade the turbos, and you will be upthere with the new vette/911.
A Rare Breed
Very well designed, reliable and a true joy to drive. The cockpit is laid out so that it is easy to monitor the pulse of the car while yours is rapidly on the rise. This is my second Stealth, at 97k miles has, with the exception of an alternator being replaced tomorrow, had no mechanical problems. These cars are great values and a ton of fun to drive. Nothing in this price range can compare in performance. The new Nissan 350Z horsepower and performance pales in comparison. This car is a true driving pleasure and rare breed.
Reliable sports car
This car has been a reliable, solid performer. People always think its newer than it is, thanks to its sensational styling. If they ask, I tell them about its outstanding comfort, excellent build quality, mechanical toughness and relatively good fuel efficiency. Bought new, at over 100,000 miles it has proven to be a great ride and a great buy too.
93 Dodge Stealth ES
For being my first Automatic Transaxle Drive car it is quick and fun. I wish they came standard with Neo Glo Gauges and cold air intake. Other than that the car is Beautiful, Especially when adding a full wide body kit and Dual Exhaust, and Lambo doors. The Head lights that Hide Away need to be like the non-Hide always like the 95 3000GT.
Never ending drive with my ES.
I really think this is the best car ever. It was my first car back in 2006 when I bought it. It's amazing but still fixing for minor things now. I basically put a new door, stereo, thermostat, brakes, paint job, tires, gauge bulbs, moldings and new rims. I think you could possibly do anything to this car to make it look ten times as better. I believe it's an amazing car to drive around town and show off. I've had a person challenge me with their pathetic charger r/t and it was funny I'll tell you. But great car to pick chicks up too in it. It looks twice as better in black and dark tints.
Fun, Fun, Fun and Daddy's not taking it
Love this car. The whole package is very reliable. I have wanted this car since I was 15. This car is going to be my future track car. I used to run a souped up Supra, and this car is the closest thing I have driven to that power. I have driven a 05 STI and an 03 Golf GTI and this car blows those two away in terms of power. This car is not one I would recommend as a first car. It is a tough drive for an inexperienced driver. The AWD works well and makes the drive smooth and the turn radius one that rivals some of the best rally cars like the EVO and STI. And the Sport and Touring modes makes it perfect for both everyday driving and racing.
My Baby
Let's see, it was my birthday last year and My boyfriend and I were car shopping for him. We went and looked at this stealth and I fell in love with it! Absolutely fell in love! He ended up buying it for me and I gave him my car to sell to get him his own car. LOL So not only was it special that i got for my birthday but this car is amazing! The gas mileage isn't so hot. I love the way it handles and feels while I'm driving it. The cockpit style front seats I think are my favorite. The stock stereo has been taken out due it just being so old that it no longer sounds great. Overall, this car amazing to drive and turn heads everywhere i go. Me being a chick it makes guys jealous!
GTO of the 90's??
This is one of the greatest import sport cars produced in the 90's.Pound for pound it is better than the Toyota Supra, and the Mazda RX-7.The perfomance for the buck is unbeliable. The only flaw with the car is that it is FWD.The RT twin turbo is AWD and they should have made all models this.Great car, good power, great handling, but lacks torque.
Awesome Car
This car is a fantastic, fast, fun, car and has great power. I to have smoked just about any car I raced with. The styling is great. Since Dodge and Mitchibitchi never really changed the body style most can't tell how old this car really is. Very reliable and handles like a race car. I always get looks where ever I take it.
p retty good car
I bought it used with 68,000 and it has a few problems and I expected some. Many places can not find the part when needed it always takes one day longer minor inconvenices come with this car. However people often think the car is new while it is 10 years old it is a beautiful car and most love it.
WOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO
What a great running and looking car.At almost 10 yrs old...still turns heads on the street!!!!!!!!! I bought it with 91,000 miles and expected trouble. 4 months and 9,500 miles later, still runs like a charm. At 5'11 I do not find the car extremely comfortable but it's a STEALTH so who the hell cares!!!!!!!!
still looks new
I bought this car in 98 with 80000 miles. I have had no troubles other than normal maint. People have asked me if it is new when it has 100000 miles on it. Still looks new no rust and it is 10 years old. I can,t say enough that I love this car, and I wish they were still made.
Beast
While not the fastest car on the road, it draws heads, is fast, and is a blast to drive. Mine is an automatic, wish i had a manual but i couldnt pass up the price, even with the automatic, its fast.
Excellent Car
By far my favorite car that I have owned. Affordable and yet packs a powerful punch. I often turn heads just by driving around town. Love it!
Decade's Best Sports Car for the Dollar
Easily the fastest, coolest car for the dollar in the past decade. AND unbelievably reliable.
I LOVE THIS CAR!!!
This car is timeless! Everybody that sees this car falls in love with it - including myself! It runs well and has a great body style. Sporty and classy in one great, reliable car!
I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!
My car is now ten years old, ABS just went out, so I'm shopping for a new car and can't find -anything- that compares to the Stealth!!! This has been such an awesome car for ten years, fun to drive, fits tall people, turns head, front wheel drive so good in Chicago winters, folding down hatch so I can fit my bike and anything inside, why the heck did Mitsubishi stop making this?!?!? I would buy a new one in a heartbeat and don't want to give it up!
93', The Best Year
This is a great car for its affordable price. Everyone on the street always stares when your drivingand many people do not know the car and inquire if the car is brand new. The stealth exterior seems to be dateless. Now that many stealths have high mileage, are rusty, or are wrecked stealths that are near perfect condition with low mileage are collectors items and will fetch high prices. The car is comfortable in the front, the back seats are meant for smaller people.
1993 Stealth ES--Ultimate Sleeper
This is one of the best cars ever produced. Its also one of the best sleepers. A little heavy for a sports car but makes up for it in accleration, cornering, and all around style. I have owned two of them and I wish that parts were more common and that people would pay for what they are worth. From here on out the price will continue to go up like old Camaro's and Mustangs. The one thing that I dont like is how much a timing belt and water pump cost to change (600-1000 bucks!). With an exhaust, chip and turbo upgrade the R/T tt will beat Vipers, Corvettes, and just about anything else.
Performance and Reliability
Bought this car used. Had 90K on it. Now, at 199k it runs just as good as the day I bought it. Do scheduled maintenance and you'll have no problems. The performance of this car has literally saved my life on several occaisions. Handling and braking are unmatched. Fuel economy is great. Even at 85 mph the care gets 28 mpg. This fall I'm retiring it and restoring it. It's too great a car to ever get rid of.
Great car
The car is great i've had no problems what so ever. Its to bad they still dont make them. Its fun to drive goes great throught the snow. It attracts alot of people and they still ask to buy but its all mine.
This is an awesome car!
'93 is the best year of all stealths. Everywhere I go people turn their heads. The car isnt the fastest but, it is a fast car, plus there are a lot of tune ups that you can do. The interior is very comfortable, and the use of the hatchback and folding down seats are great for anything. The feel of the car's power, and handling with a 5 speed is awesome.
Looks great,! but can't sell
Everyone turns their head while looking, but no one wants to pay anything for it. My '93 is slowly starting to fade, and problems are coming up everywhere. But has treated me great up until now.
Stealth Twin Turbo, The One to BUY!
I have owned my pristine 1993 Stealth RTTT for 7 years. The car is EXCEPTIONAL! TIMELESS styling, 300+hp, 0 to 60 in 5.6 and 27mpg crusing at 75mph! The only thing it lacks is a decent cup holder (that accounts for the 9 in interior design). This car is mechanically bulletproof as long as you follow the scheduled maintenance. The cabin is beautiful, like a jet fighter and seats are comfortable on long trips. If your looking for a car that will put a smile on your face EVERY TIME you get behind the wheel, then look no further! One word of caution, only buy one that has been well maintained and not beat into the ground. It took me 3 years to find min
The Stealth is an Awesome Car!
The car drives like a dream. Everybody who gets in it all say that it rides like a Cadillac. The driving is extremely fun, very comfortable, and everywhere I go people turn their heads. The car has been great and reliable, and the performance is really good. Its DOHC 24 valves does its job. This is the best year of all the Stealths since it is the last year of that body style also.
Beast Unleashed
I've always wanted one so when I had the chance to get one I had to get it. Once in it I experienced overwhelming joy as I pushed on the pedal. Its handling and performance are all that I expected it to be.
This is ahead of its time
Ive always admired the car. When I was a kid it was my dream to own one. The car has power not kidding. Heads turn every were you go. People still ask all the time "IS IT NEW" I just gave it a custom paint job. The car has 123,000 and runs like a million bucks.
Beast
While not the fastest car on the road, it draws heads, is fast, and is a blast to drive. Mine is an automatic, wish i had a manual but i couldnt pass up the price, even with the automatic, its fast.
If I only have the money to keep it
I wanted a stealth since they came out. Now I own one! It s red, a little banged up from careless prior owner, but overall its worth keeping. I figure it's something to restore if I ever get enough money to do it, otherwise I swear it's worth ten times it's value in parts. Have you seen the cost of parts for this thing? Yikes!!! I get 22 mpg which isn't terribly bad, but in today's economy 35 mpg would be nice. I store it for the winter and I itch to bring her out in the spring. My stealth is terrible on snow. It's probably the performance style tires. I'd cry if I ever had to sell it. I worry the transmission will some day go out and the cost to rebuild would be in the $2000 range. Great car!!!!!
Great Car
This has been a solid car since it was new. It's fun to drive, looks good, and built well. It's got 84,000. Yes, I paid dearly for the timing belt and new tires...but it's better than a new car payment. The driver's leather seat needs repaired; the leather has torn and cracked.
This car rocks
My sister owns one and it is great i love driving it , it has givin no problems at all. The only complaint i have is i got long legs and the back seats are real small no room in the back at all but other than that this car is great
Awsome car
This is a awsome car to ride or drive. It turns the head of all that see it. It is sad that it is no longer made but still fun to see another on the road. It is easy to modify and can be made to scream down the road. I love the 5 speed. Great car to start out with!!
