I Was shopping for a F-150/Tundra I decided to check out Ram 1500 before purchasing one of the others. Boy am I glad I did. Simply put this truck is AWESOME! Rides like a luxury car (rear coil suspension), 5.7 Hemi is unbelievable in power,acceleration & torque. Interior design is great with regard to layout of instrument panel, dials etc. Interior is very comfortable with great visability all around.I should point out that this is my personal car (not a working pick-up) and the only thing this bed sees are my golf bag/groceries and an occasional trip to Home Depot. Man I love this truck!!

I very happy with my purchase. The truck has a ride like a car and is a pleasure to drive. The 5.7 Hemi has plenty of power and the fuel economy is good for a truck. I have hauled several cars with a car trailer and a 23 foot boat with no problems. The interior is great and I get a lot of compliments. I have owned Ford trucks in the past but this is by far the best truck I have owned.

I've test driven older Dodge pick- ups... eewwww. Then I was reading a positive magazine review about the new '09 models and the changes they've made. (i.e. coil springs) A few weeks later I saw an ad for an '09 it was $26,500 with free financing. What the heck. Drove it and bought it. WOW! Now I love it. My only complaint is I should have got the Hemi. (But, atleast I saved about $3,000.) Also, the extended cab is plenty of room. Why spend extra for the Quad cab?

2009 SLT crew cab Hemi Bighorn. The '09 is a night and day difference from the previous generation; there is NO comparison. This truck rides like a Cadillac, and has more interior room to boot. With 390 horses on tap, you will surprise more than a few people off the line. This is the quietest vehicle I have ever been in, you can hardly hear the road noise. The seats are comfortable & supportive, there is loads of storage. The back seat area has 2 in-floor storage bins plus the ones under the rear seat. There are 5 cup holders. Thanks to MDS, the gas mileage is excellent for a full size truck. I get 13-16 city, 20-26 hwy @ 55 w/ cruise set, around 18 city/hwy combined.

I replaced my 2001 Ram 1500 with the new 2009. No similarities at all. This was a huge leap forward for Dodge. The hemi is powerful and smooth. I am not a fan of the variable valve timing which saves on gas mileage by cutting out 4 cylinders when in low load situations. The only way to override this feature is to use the tow/haul setting which gives better shift points but it also won't let the transmission shift into 6th gear. I love the new look with the chrome package. This is a big truck and I recommend the side steps for easier entry and exit. Plenty of room inside with the new crew cab. The ride and handling while towing are excellent but power is lacking.

This is a family vechile. The confort and space that you need for travel and camping or hunting fun. When I was looking at other truck most of them felt like a work truck but this truck has the confort of SUV.

2 tone paint on my Laramie is awesome. Leather heated seats and nav. I love this truck. I use it for work (own landscaping business). Can't see myself driving anything else. Didn't have interaction with anyone else at dealership other than my salesman. Seemed like a great guy, knew his stuff and was helpful. Get a Ram and you wont be sorry.

I've owned Chevy trucks all my life and when I bought the Ram I felt like I was cheating on my wife. This is the best truck I've ever owned. The ride and fit/finish is excellent. I should have got the Nav and U-Tunes.

I traded in my 2004 Dodge Ram to get the 2009 Dodge Ram last summer from a dealership that was closing and HAD to sell everyone but the closing date (read:AMAZING DEAL). I loved my 2004 truck and would still be driving it if not for the great deal. I got the Hemi this time which offers noticeable improvement in performance. The ride is smooth and comfortable no matter what I have in the back. Just the other day I was carrying 1850 lbs of stone for a construction job in the truck bed. While I don't recommend it, the truck handled it like a champ.

This truck is awesome! Obviously the styling is great on the exterior, but the interior is just as great! My truck has a center console on the floor and bucket seats that are very comfortable. I got a crew cab because I typically have people in the back seat, and this truck has more than enough room in back. The 5.7L Hemi is crazy powerful, and the acceleration is always smooth from any speed. Gas mileage for a truck this size is top notch. I average 14 city/19 highway. Cant beat that for a BIG fullsize truck! Also drove an '07 Sierra, and I liked it, but this Ram is the baddest truck on the road!

First let me say that I am not brand loyal! If it fits my needs I buy it. I traded my 08 Chevy Crew for this truck. I was going to buy another Chevy till I drove this. It was very impressive in the beginning, after 20K it's even better than expected. I get 15-16 in town, and as much as 20.5 hwy, with a Hemi, 3.90 gears? That impressive. No problems with anything yet. Well the goodyears stink! I believe this is one of the last trucks I will buy. Till they come out with a diesel in it.

It was scary at first, but after 8 years I went back to Dodge from Chevy. The redesign in 2009 was well worth it. I had a choice between a 2010 or the 2009, and for the price bought the 2009 (second hand). I am greatly pleased with the truck, especially the fuel economy. It has the 4.7 liter engine, plenty of hp, I got average 26 mpg driving from New Orleans a few weeks ago.

Best truck ever! To be fair at 148k miles had to replace the engine. This set back didn't change my mind about the quality of this truck. I still get excellent gas mileage and the ride has never changed. comfortable, dependable and it still looks good!!!...

My 2009 sport has been the best all around truck I’ve ever had. 214000 miles and still going strong. Outside of standard parts getting old the truck has been everything I could want. Dodge hit this generation truck out of the park.

Love this vehicle does everything I need it to. Had to replace exhaust manifold which is a common problem also did struts plugs new brakes and tires. Upgraded radio old one had to go.

Had a bad TIPM (over glorified fuse box) to replace 1300 bucks didn't work had to replace again. the things it does likes open your locks automatically anytime wipers go on their own and dash lights go on..Power windows stop working as well. They still dont work after TIPM put in.

the 305/65/18E BFG all terrans and the American racing black rims make this already mean looking truck look down right scary. stock rims and tires are crap and will soon replace the lame chrome grille and decals to finish the "blackout" overall great truck.

Up to this day the ram was my favorite car. 07-12-10 I have a knocking under the dash, loud! Dealer said parts for repair are on back order. Maybe parts will arrive late August. 60 days. Are they out of their minds, I'm afraid to drive it. And what about my trip up north with my boat? Maybe Obama has a solution for this too. Not a happy trucker!

The new Ram is an exciting new vehicle in the Dodge lineup. The design is aggressive the interior is beautiful the motor is solid and it's incredibly quiet on the highway. The rear 4 link suspension makes this truck ride so smooth it feels like a luxury vehicle. The wrap around console keeps everything within reach and everything is where you expect it to be. The nighttime display is very nice. Hands down I drove an F-150 and a Silverado and this was the smoothest and best looking truck of them all. Also the price was the cheapest of all of them! You can't go wrong with the new 2009 Ram

I love this truck. I got the one with the sport package SLT. One step down from Laramie, You need to get one now. Got mine for 31K when MSRP was 41K. This truck is fast, I floored it and never broke loose on me, next I was at 80 in no time. I would not settle for less than the Hemi. Smooth & quiet truck. I had an 07 with Hemi slightly modified and this one is still faster. Got to get bucket seats, it goes better and just tell dealer to switch out tailgate with lock on it, I did. I tow a 18' ranger boat & don't feel it. Thank you Dodge for such a excellent truck..

Got the "Bone White" 2-tone Laramie almost 3 weeks ago! So far I love this truck! This is my first truck so I did a lot of research into this one and others (Toyota and Chevy). For some reason I did not look at the Ford F150 or Titan. However, I found the RAM to have the best ride, exterior, interior and features. I know the Tundra has a great drive train. However with the HEMI and all of the new features in the RAM, plus the fact that I basically paid over $10K less than MSRP with all the incentives, 0% for 36months, I couldn't pass this up!

I've had my 2009 Dodge Ram for 4 days now. I test drove the other full size American pick-ups (F150 & Silverado). By far, the Dodge offered the most bang for your buck. Both Chevy and Ford were also not willing to author the same juicy deal that Dodge ultimately gave me. The interior is really nice, even if you can't afford the Laramie. The Hemi power is ridiculous and the ride is smooth. Standard safety features are impressive. Uconnect and Sirius are great. Plenty of room in the Quad Cab for my 6 year old. MPG on freeway is impressive. Feels like I'm driving a semi with the higher road stance. My wife even likes to drive it. All in all, buy American and go with the Dodge Ram.

This is actually the SLT Quad cab with the Hemi. This is my first truck ever. Still in shock that I actually traded my nice VW for this be we needed more hauling capability. I've had it 8 hours and 70 miles, but I'm really impressed by the feel of how it drives. I thought I'd be creeped out by driving something this big, but I can now see why these things are so popular. Still babying it since I'm not used to it, and it's so new, but so far so good!

i should have learned after owning my 1997 dodge ram 1500 4x4 and all the known problems with it that daimler chrysler knew about but never did anything about. plenum gaskets every 2 years, trac bars every year, tranny problems every 20k miles, and tons of cash spent for service after the warranty expired and i took care of this like a baby, but always had mega problems with it, and here i go and buy another one! someone want to give me a swift kick!? now anyone buying a new one prior to the bankruptcy will be stuck with any problems encountered. my cab is starting to leak in this truck and the dealership is trying to say i keep my window open every storm since they cannot find any leaks!

I purchased an SLT crew cab in May 09. So far I've gone 3500 miles with no complaints other than after I got it home I discovered it had only 1 tow hook in the front (should have 2). After several calls and a letter to the customer care center I was able to get another hook. Still no rattles, no leaks, everything is fine mechanically. Gas mileage is 15/20 which is good for a 390hp truck! Plenty of room in the crew cab for hauling passengers. I'm still happy with the looks, performace and overall package. One nice feature is how the rear view mirror lights turn on when you exit the vehicle, nice for those dark driveways, parking lots, etc. I'd do it again.

I was turned on by all the toys. But what a piece of junk. I've owned many pick-ups in my life, but the ride quality in this tin can just plain stinks. You continue to feel a right to left up and down motion much like sitting in aboat anchored and feeling the wakes of other boats as they drive by. I owned this thing for two weeks. My combined mileage of 800hwy and 600 city was a whooping 14.6. I drove very conservative. I was so disappointed I traded it back and lost $10,000.00. It still hurts. I've never hated a vehicle so much.
