Real world review, no bias
Do not purchase this truck, they die at 62,000 miles. Bought mine new in 2006, maintained a perfect service record, and I was rewarded with nine trips to the dealership over the years for different issues. I am not a "brand" guy and this has no impact on my review, but in the interest of full disclosure I will never by another Daimler Chrysler product again. The dealer service is poor and was nearly a victim of consumer fraud at College Station Lithia Dodge.
Love the looks
Rugged yet comfortable. The high up cabin makes you feel like the "King of the Road". Small glove box, but armrest storage makes up for it. Nice ride, good acceleration. I chose the 4.7 V8 over the Hemi. Good choice, as it averages 15-16 mpg vs the 10-11 for the Hemi. No defects so far. Overall I am very satisfied.

Happy Hemi Owner
This is my 2nd Dodge Truck the first was a 1999 SLT 360 cubic inch Quad cab. I now have 45,000 miles in 3 years on this 2005 Hemi Laramie and it has never been in the shop that I can recall. The miles are probably 50/50 city highway, with 1/2 the highway pulling a Bass Boat.
Love my RAM Quad
Very nice truck, this is the second Dodge truck that I have purchased new and I doubt that it will be the last. We love the Atlantic pearl blue color and the body styling. The standard V8 has plenty of power and don't seem to be too bad on gas.
Hemi, Hemi, Hemi
The 5.7 Hemi is the best thing that ever happened to a pickup. It gives a real boost when you are wanting to get from here to there right now. 4door quadcad, although not quite as spacious as the Ford F150 crew cab, is still plenty roomy for most folks, and the optional flat floor provision makes secure dry storage (for groceries and such) very handy. A recent road trip delivered outstanding mileage, with the trip computer recording 21mpg(!) at one point across Kansas. My truck is a 2005 Ram 1500 SLT quadcab with 2wd and towing package. I like this truck.
