HB review
It's a great vehicle. Lots of fun to drive. It's roomy inside and the stereo system is nice, though I prefer to leave it off lots of the time so I can listen to the V-8. It's a beautiful looking truck too. No real complaints. I knew gas mileage wasn't going to be great before I bought...actually a little better than anticipated.
Better than the Ford F 150 by far
Having spent several weeks renting an F- 150 all new 2004 model, and then buying the Silverado, I was more than impressed. Its mileage for a large truck is really better than one could expect. Its ride is closer to large car quality than most, where the Ford bucked and jumped on uneven freeways in Texas. The bucket seat option is a must, and the XM Satellite Radio is a lot of fun that came with the package. Easy to drive and operate.

good power
the 2004 chevy v-6 has really good power and the truck looks really great
Love it so far!
I have been driving a Tahoe for the past 5 years, and have been an SUV guy for quite some time. I decided to try a pickup so bought a new 2004 Z71 and I love it. The overall ride is very close to my old Tahoe but the performace is much better. I'm very happy with my decision to buy this truck.
Great Truck, Best for the money!!!
4.8 V8 is tough, just as good as the 5.3 minus the extra torque. I test drove the V6 and found it to be poor. Wish I had a back cab at times, but the tonneau cover does fine when i strap things in. Bought this truck used with 20K on it. Haven't done much to it except air and oil filters/oil. The previous owner installed performance exhaust which roars and gives extra HP. I put on 17" 2007 avalanche wheels and 265 70 R A/T tires. Put on rear air lift suspension (airbags) and have been hauling anything from dirt, rock, stone, furniture, appliances, and tow a 5250lb boat/trailer. Its a half ton but with the bags i can easily load 1750 as i have scaled it at landscape vehicle scale.
Love my chevy
My chevy truck performs excellently I have had no problems with it. It gets great milage for a full size truck. I get 21 miles around town, I haven't gone any long distances yet. I have plenty of power to pull a trailer or boat with no problems at all. I love the lay out of the inside over the f-150 or the Dodge Ram. The chevy sits just the right height you don't have to climb into the truck like you do with the Dodge. The Chevy is more comfortable and has alot better ride than either the Ford f-150 or Dodge Ram.
Somone is high on this website...
This truck is the only truck in the top 3 that isn't blown or has a Viper engine, DUH, of course it's not gonna have the HP of the others!! It has AWD though, and no Lim Slip in the back, so if you wanna go toe to toe from the starting line, I'm there. Take your heads out of your a$$es and give credit where credit is due. Oh, I'm sorry, how much did you pay for that Dodge? And did you get an extended cab with that Ford? Oh yeah, did you want 20" rims? Didn't think so, I'll be seeing you in my rear view mirror...
broken
rearend went out at 4775 miles! need I say more?
Good Solid Truck
Good ride, good looks, good truck. I added a bed rug, bed rails, and cover.
I love my first truck
I bought my first truck after having driven cars all my life, and its the best thing I have ever done. This truck drives more like a car than any truck I have ever been in. The gas milage is good for a truck, considering I am used to a 4 cylinder. But the power, the smoothness of the ride, and the overall styling of the truck make an eye catching upgrade to your day to day driving.
