Used 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Consumer Reviews
Great Basic Transport
I bought this car new in 5/99, and have had NO problems with it at all. The only items I've had to replace after 65000 miles are the tires, and the pads on the front disc brakes. This car is not a performance vehicle, but rather a reliable, comfortable car for every day travel or long distance trips.
99 Monte Carlo
after 4 yrs little or minor problems I couldn't fix myself. My wife's commute car, she is a teacher.
A real looker
My Monte Carlo was not the exact color I was looking for but the Pewter color is alright. However, the engine (3.1) proved to be entirely adequate for my type of driving. The car seems to be very stable on curves and can accelerate briskly if required. The back seat is really fit for two people only but the trunk can gulp down a fair sized amount of luggage. So, I really can't complain. The real surprise is that at 70 mph I have gotten a shade over 31 MPG in the winter when not using the a.c. And this was with three people and all their stuff. All in all, a pretty fair car for the price.
LOVE IT CHEVY MONTE CARLO
I ONLY HAVE THREE WORDS TO SAY ABOUT THE CHEVY MONTE CARLO...........I LOVE IT!!!!!
Good car
This is a very good car for any time of the year. The 3.1 liter model still came with leather seats for me, and gets good gas mileage while still putting in some good power. It's pretty heavy, but that's OK for the winter. It has always started up for me and never given me any problems. It's in my family to stay.
