2026 Chevrolet Equinox EV Consumer Reviews

The Equinox EV hits all the bases with speed
I like everything about the Equinox EV RS. It has a stylish exterior and a roomy interior. I love the huge dashboard with easy access to the tech features, including Google Maps built in. I got the front wheel drive to maximize mileage and it gets about 325 miles of range on a charge. The car charges fast enough for my purposes at the DC Fast Chargers, and I bought a Tesla Supercharger Adapter to be able to use those charging stations as well. I like the faux leather and the layout of the pockets and cup holders. Also, the car has great acceleration and several driving modes. I would have enjoyed having the self drive feature but it was not available in the model I wanted at the dealer, and so will have to wait on the next one!

The best new EV deal in America
This is an extremely well designed vehicle. In terms of the drive, it feels confident and solid. It won't blow your socks off like a Model 3 performance, but it has all the zip you'll need for real-world use. It rides smooth and quiet, even on bumpy roads. As for the interior, you get ample cargo space, a roomy second row, and comfortable seats all around. The infotainment screen is wonderful. Google designed it, and it shows. Zero delay, with nice big icons so that you hit what you're aiming for, even while driving. But, the infotainment screen doesn't try to do everything. There are nice big dials for the climate controls and volume, and the wheel has useful buttons as well. The Google voice assistant in the car makes controlling things, especially the audio system, wonderfully simple. You can download the spotify app in the car, log in, and use your voice to get access to pretty much every song in the world. One downside of the infotainment -- while you get some of the basics for free, like google maps and the voice assistant, to use some of the other apps (like spotify or podcasts) you need an Onstar subscription. They start you off with a free trial of Onstar One, but I recommend checking to see if you need everything it offers. The Onstar "Connect" plan is much cheaper and might have everything you want. Overall, this car feels like a peer of the Ioniq 5, EV 6, Model Y, and Mustang Mach E, but it's about 10k cheaper than all those cars. Maybe it's missing a few of the frills or top-end performance of those cars, but if you are just looking for compact SUV with good range, smooth tech, and solid vehicle design, it's going to have everything you're looking for. For 35k, it's an amazing deal, with or without the tax credit.

Best EV for the money.
I'm getting 318 miles to a charge. My old Yukon was running me $750 a month for fuel, insurance and maintenance. My EV equinox runs about $320 a mth. This includes insurance and charging. Charge from home $12 a week. There's incentives for installing a level 2 charger for your home. In California you receive a 10 year 150,000 warranty on the battery. After incentives $27,500 for the car.

Blue flash
Just took deliveries very of my 2025 Equinox EV AWD. I love it!! Plenty of room for 4, lots of cargo space also. The quiet is amazing! . Love the blue color. Acceleration is better than expected. I like that is just the right size for my two car garage with my wife’s car beside it. The price with the EV tax credit and rebates made it the least expensive new car I’ve had in a long time.
