Used 2020 Chevrolet Colorado Consumer Reviews
exactly what it says it is
Having the vehicle for 7,500 miles: The Colorado is exactly what Chevy says it is: a capable midsize pickup. The trucks has excellent road manners but is still very capable. I have loaded the truck to max payload and there was little effect on the handling. I routinely tow a boat and again, very capable. The smaller size means I can park it in the Garage and not panic in lots with small parking spaces. The Colorado is exactly what Chevy said it is and what I was looking for. I have an LT crew shorty with the V6 and 8 speed, 2WD. There has been some press about the transmission but I find it one of the best I have every had. Very smooth, responsive, and well mated to the excellent V6 which is also excellent. I really like the way the truck drives and acceleration is very good. Fuel economy is exactly what it says on the sticker and only slighter worse than my previous small SUV with a 4 banger. Its hard to complain about the utility and driving characteristics. In regards to creature comforts: the large screen infotainment system is easy to use and as good as anything on the market. visibility is pretty good and the slow moving tailgate is a nice touch. Downsides: the seats are not that comfortable, they are OK, but should be better. In-cabin storage and utility: Well, those that designed the door and rear seat storage need to find another job. Pitifully poor execution and way behind the competition. And finally, value. I purchased this vehicle for considerably less than a comparable Ranger or Tacoma. Only the Frontier offers a similar value and that truck is not in the same class and the Colorado. Considering this vehicle and the competition, I can recommend the Colorado.
Great WOW factor in side and but hate the GPS
first, if you come from another midsize truck like me, you need to know that gas millage sucks, is 2 or 3 miles under a Tacoma but so far I like My ZR2 better than the Tacoma (I was a 3 times Tacoma owner), the exterior style turns more heads than any other truck and the interior don't even compare with the basic style of the Tacoma, the ZR2 has a beautiful luxurious and comfortable interior, i would rather a little softer bottom for the driver sit for long drives though. getting in the truck (if you are not 6.2) is a problem because there is no handle on the driver side to help with that ( I miss that from my Tacoma). it feels more powerful and smooth ride than the Tacoma. it tows like a dream with the towing mode and brakes (2500lb trailer) and it handles great in the snow ( I live in Utah, I know what I'm taking about). the one thing that bothers me is the so called info system, I really hate the GPS set, first you have to pay a monthly fee for a service that is free on your phone or any gps and second you have to "call" every time you want an address, that means that you also have to pay for internet and voice service even if you don't want those services that already are in your phone... it is ridiculous, and third, I like to have a dedicated GPS Map on screen all time and that is not possible with this system. i have to get a Gps for the top of my console to solve my problem... but i think that is a stupid way for them to make a little more money out of you ruining a $47k new truck experience. so again, if you can leave with 15 mpg and like calling for directions (and let the world know where are you going).. The Colorado ZR2 is THE truck.... update: the release an app that finally let you use your map on which was my only complaint. 2.5 years and 38k miles still happy with my ZR2

The grey goose...
Gm quality control is still lacking. 100km and steering column honked like a goose while turning. Got that warrantied. Then at 700km had SOAKED floormat drivers side, after getting interior all ripped out, the AC wasnt plumbed out the fire wall, instead drained back into the cab(i told dealership that it might be the problem and they laughed, that wouldnt happen) well it did. I really want to love this truck, coming from an 08 frontier, its a little bigger, way more grunt(diesel) and handles like a truck not an 80's towncar and gets a whopping 35mpg on hwy. im hoping to just get the minor bugs out and it will be a solid truck....

Great truck but has one major flaw!
Purchased the 2020 Colorado V6 4x4 crew cab pickup with the heavy duty trailering package. I am very disappointed to find that it did not come with a brake controller. Chevrolet has an OEM brake controller but for some reason it does not come with the heavy duty trailering package and it cannot be added. Not impressed with having to purchase and mount an after market brake controller on my brand new truck! I am the shortest in my family at 5’10 so I can not afford to lose valuable leg room. Chevy has definitely failed it’s buyers with this ridiculous omission. When you purchase a heavy duty trailering package you’d expect it to either come with the brake controller or at least be able to add the OEM brake controller. I love my truck but I can tell you that I probably would not have purchased it had I realized it was missing this vital part of the heavy duty trailering package. Huge fail Chevy!!!

Plane Jane
I purchased the 2019 Colorado w/t. Truck is bare minimum like what fleets buy. I could not be more pleased. It has the vinyl seats and no carpet. Seats are comfortable as far as roominess, I’m 6-2 and don’t feel cramped up. Seats are a little hard after a few hours of driving but that would be my only complaint. It is the 4 cylinder, some say it is way under powered but it does just fine for me. Heaviest thing I haul is 2 kayaks. Would recommend the v-6 if you are going to tow anything. It has the touch screen info center and back up camera. Power windows and locks. Great features for being the absolute base of base models. Easy to drive, much more maneuverable than my previous Silverado. Very happy with this Chevrolet.
