What I wanted.
I wanted a large sedan that was very quick and athletic (and didn't need a lot of down-time being repaired). I also wanted a vehicle that had all of the latest safety and convenience features and was reasonably priced. From the magazine and owner reviews that I read, this was the car. After only one month of ownership, I can not address the question of reliability, but I can attest to my satisfaction with regard to the other aspects in which I was interested.

Owners insight of Cadillac CT6 Plugin
Beautiful car with state of art technology and meaningful electric miles which make this full size sedan way above all competitors. Comparing this with Benz S class and BMW 7 is ridiculous since you are paying 40% less for a whole lot more. Over 2600 miles with level 2 charger at home and work my MPGe is currently at 129 and it is only going up.

Sharp classy luxury car
This was my first PHEV. Bought it new about 3.5 years ago. Very smooth handling. Plenty of power. It now has about 30k miles and still running well. Since we do alot of short trips, the 31 mile electric range is perfect. Have more electric miles will just mean paying for a lot more battery that I don't really need. We only get gas maybe 2 to 3 times a year! When we do get gas, we only get half a tank. Found out gas can get stale if left in the tank too long. Never had to worry about that before! Love the CT6 body design. To me, it is like a timeless classy design. It is unfortunate it is discontinued. The infotainment system is not very intuitive but the sound is good. You do need to be careful to make sure the hybrid battery coolant is above full. If it is at the full mark, which is the center seam line of the reservoir, there is a very small chance it can suck in some air bubbles then you end up getting a "service high voltage charging system". The car will not charge. You need to reset it with an OBDII scan tool then it will charge. Make sure you do have enough coolant. I'm guess GM made this extra sensitive since the Chevy Volt caught on fire in a parking lot after passing some crash tests. There is really no need to be that sensitive. That's about the only negative I have about the car. Ever since I kept it slightly above the full mark, I don't get the service high voltage system message anymore. Still using it everyday. Update. Have the car about 4.5 years. Still runs well. Almost never get gas. With gas prices going up, I'm even more happy we got this car. Never been much of an SUV or CUV fan. Sedans are always my favorite body style. Up-date. Have this car 5.5 years now. Bought it new back in 2017. Only had 1 issue. The high voltage battery coolant sensor failed. I was expecting that since it is the same as the Chevy Volt. However, unlike the volt, the sensor is behind the backseat and trunk. Only way to get to it is to remove the backseat, side panels and rear panels. Decided to let the dealer do that. No other issues after that. Car still drives smooth and handles well. Love large sedans as it can fit 5 comfortably with style. Still only get gas (half tank) every 6 months just so the gas won't get stale. We have solar panels and a level 2 charger at home so charging the car every night is not an issue.

Welcome back GM!
I have owned this car for a year now and i have to say i am truly impressed. I get more compliments on this car than any other car i have owned. This is my fifth car.I have had BMW 5 series and Mercedes S series drivers ask me about the CT6 at gas stations and at work. The acceleration of the 3.0 twin turbo is beyond impressive and the fuel economy is reasonable considering it is a 400 HP car. I have only taken the car on one long road trip to Nashville. After four hours of driving i did not want the trip to end. The car is that much of a joy. It feels much lighter than the 4100 pounds that it is. It is pretty nimble for a car it's size. After one year i have not had any unscheduled maintenance. The ride comfort is great and the rearview mirror that turns into a tv screen to show you the full rear view of the car is amazing! A must have on the highways. I have no regrets and i highly recommend this car. It is great to see GM back on track with some great products.
