Another Great 'Big' American Coupe
I bought this car from an old friend, and I remember the day he got it, so I know it well. I've had it for one month, and I find driving it very enjoyable. The SC-V6 is powerful enough to effortlessly pull this big coupe, the tranny shifts smoothly. Amazingly quiet inside, leather seating is comfortable and very roomy throughout. Slightly short on headroom- definitely can't wear my cowboy hat while driving. Mine has the power split bench-seat option with column shifter. Changed struts, mounts and boots, so suspension is like new. Car is getting custom paint job. I have 18" chrome wheels and tires on order. Will have windows tinted soon and upgrade speakers. Overall a fun car to drive!
FUN TO DRIVE
I personally never really thought the exterior design of this car was too great. Other people just love it and I get many compliments on it. Regardless of my feelings of the exterior, I love this car. It is very fun to drive. Accellerating around corners is the best! Goes great in snow and handles well on icy Wisconsin roads.

The Most Awesome Car Ever
I purchased this car used with 43K, and it looked like it just came from the showroom. That was in 1998. It's now 2007 and it still looks brand new. I have never had anything done to this care other than routine maintenance. It's quiet, smooth, fast, comfortable and is the best car I have ever been in. It beats all the expensive imports any day. The mileage is great (30 mpg highway). It now has 112K and I won't consider parting with it. I think I will keep it forever. Buick, please make this car again!
218,000 and going strong!
We purchased our Riv with 50,000 miles on it. This car has been like a dream, ride is wonderful, no rust and it sits outside, no mayor problems. ABC went out a few years ago and decided to leave it. New gas line, manifold, plugs, exhaust, and starter. It does have an electrical problem, radio changes stations on its own! If anyone has ideas as to why,I would love to hear from you.Not bad for a 15 yr old with 218,000 on her!The outside is excellent but plastic parts inside are starting to break, vents etc.We love this car, they just don't make them like this anymore.
A Sweet Ride
I purchased this car from a Buick dealership. It had 14,000 miles and was everything I had been looking for in a car. Over the years it has gone to college for four years, Prom, Weddings, corn fields, mud, snow, good and bad streets, carried teens, grandkids and dogs. Through it all, it has handled every situation with grace. The only "major repair" was the harmonic balancer. Outside of that, just regular oil changes, new tires, and air conditioner. My entire family loves the Riviera. We would buy it again and wish that Buick would continue the car, adding a four door version and make it a crossover. Oh, yes, it now has 140,000 miles and drives as if it was brand new.
