Fantastic car

2011 Buick Lucerne CXL Premium 4dr Sedan (3.9L 6cyl 4A)

The Lucerne delivers in so many ways. Heated and cooled seats, rain sending wipers, rear air suspension, remote start, parking sensors, leather, automatic climate, heated steering wheel, aux, just so much packed into this package. I have been a Lucerne fan since I chanced upon it as a rental car. Comfortable, feature-packed, and powerful. It may not be as nimble or renowned as some imports but this car punches hard. Considering owning one!

Replaced transmission at 53,000 miles, luckily it was still under warranty. Come on gm your making the imports look better. Got excellent service from Moses gm though. Update on Lucerne: 12-7-16 traded in the Lucerne for a 2012 Honda Accord EX-l V6 and couldn't be happier. No more GM!

Steering is FAR too heavy.

Steering weight (effort to turn the wheel on my 2010 Buick CXL v6) is FAR too heavy. Ponderous, heavy, over-weighted, lacking in power steering, etc... This vehicle is not a pleasure to drive, and does not drive as its Buick namesake would suggest. There is mercifully a little steering play at higher speeds, but one really has to make an effort to turn this thing at any speed. Not something you can fan around town or steer with your pinky. Not very luxury/premium. Not very "Buick".

The 2011 seems to have fewer issues than it's previous years, however, I'd suggest you still look at problems reported, such as oil leaks and fuel filter issues. Not a bad car by any means. It's really just a grandpa car. That's all.

The most comfortable car in existence

LUCERNE is best car ive ever owned. I have a 2010 Lucerne CXL V6, its fantastic!! extremely comfortable ride quality! Man does the air suspension make a difference over traditional suspension! quality extremely comfortable seats that are plush, wide and just satisfying to sit in. I love that you can push the seat belt clip down under the seat so it truly feels like a recliner on wheels!, easy to drive, comfortable to turn steering wheel, excellent shifting transmission! Responsive and accurate, quick to shift tuned for good MPG! quiet, refined driving experience. It's fuel efficient on the highway if you accelerate slow and drive it right/hypermile. The engine also has a ton of low-end torque, So it can accelerate up to cruising speed at an impressive 1200 RPMs! To be honest I don't know any other car that can accelerate up to cruising speed while using such low engine power. It's very impressive. If you drive it right and accelerate at those super low RPMs you get surprisingly good gas mileage! I get almost as good as a 2.4 L 4 cylinder MPG. Engine idles super quiet and chill, can't even feel the engine when in park! Fantastic radio with high quality speakers, aux port. Easy to use cruise control, heated steering wheel. Stylish-ish! The tail lights look like a VW Passat. And the portholes make it looks fancy. Stylish interior gauges! Quality headlights that light up the road effectively. It's just a super satisfying car to drive
