Car is a beast

Was worried that with a wife and 2 kids this would be too much as a daily driver. But car can ride in comfort mode which is pretty like any other BMW SUV. But if you put into sports or sports plus mode this suv turns into a sports car. Pure adrenaline and BMW THOUGHT out every square inch of this car….

I have owned many BMW's but this car will blow your socks off! The engine is a totally re-designed BMW 3L straight 6 cyl. with twin turbos that has been de-stroked and produces 507hp. It comes equipped with engine oil cooler and transmission fluid cooler, adjustable shocks, exhaust, transmission, steering. All these features can be customized (tuned) by creating two separate programs that are implemented by using the red paddle shifters on the left and right of the steering wheel. The only way to appreciate this unique vehicle is to drive one. One thing I should mention. The car is very stiff. I de-tune the shocks but it doesn't help much. I think it is the sway bars. I took a look and they are massive.

2024 bmw x3m competition

I will never own anything besides an x3m. BMW needs to start making them again. I owned a 2020 x3m base and I loved it. Loved it. When I found out bmw won’t make the x3m anymore I traded my 2020 in for a 24 competition. It’s worth every penny The “rough ride” isn’t a thing. If you’re thinking do I really need the M, we both know the answer. Don’t settle. This is worth it.

Destroyed all Comers

By far the best car I have ever driven or owned, bar none (Porsches, Astons, etc.) Quality is beyond high. Every gap and every stich is perfect. I solved the ride issue by changing tire to the Michelin Pilot A/S 4s. MPG with a filter and a tune was horrendous--9.2 in town. Interestingly, over a 500 mile trip through Yellowstone/Jackson is got 29mpg. In the city, it was another matter. Though it did dyno at 605hp. However, even before the tune, I never lost a race in my X3M Comp. No matter the road, no matter the elevation, no matter the other guy's car. RSQ8s decimated up 7% mountain passes. Camaro SS LT1LE shocked as I passed them at 160mph. It would rip off 0-60 in 3.1 sec. all day long (until it ran out of gas!!). I have an iX M60 now, which is fast in its own right, but the S58 engine absolutely never stopped pulling. Plus, the cargo area held my 75" CostCo tv and my huge dog carrier. The perfect car.

The X3M competition in my opinion is the best option when wanting an M car in a harsh winter environment. I have loved every second of ownership and has had almost no issues during my time of ownership.
