Just had this car for a week after a long time of research and test drives among German cars. I am gratified to have chosen this one, handling and dynamics at its best on this solid compact car! I am a daily commuter in the DC and NOVA area and it never fails to put a smile in my face regardless of what traffic I am in. The new version of i drive is so much better and easy to use. Finally, they caught up with the Japanese delivery of easy to use technology. This car is a testament to BMW's claim as the ultimate driving machine.

A bit of a step back (in a good way) from increasing bloat and luxury. Perfectly matched power to size/weight built seemingly in the true "old-spirit" of the M-versions of BMW. Never short on power and torque, nice exhaust growl, smooth manual transmission, powerful linear brakes, tight, firm suspension with incredible balance. I-drive system, entertainment/phone, etc is excellent, easy to use and diminishes distractions while driving. Front seats are very comfortable for 6ft plus, rear seats are perfect for smaller children when used without a booster, otherwise relatively useless. Trunk is adequate. Incredibly fun to drive. 23 mpg overall.

Have owned the car 2 weeks, no major complaints. It is very quiet with the top up, except for the nice sound of the engine, which sounds even nicer with the top down. I thought the cheap added cup holder would be annoying since the navigation buttons take away one of the real cup holders, but it really isn't bad. There is a pretty big blind spot behind the rear side window, but I guess it's just something to get used to. Happy with the gas mileage too, averaging 24 so far. Overall the car is very fun to drive, my only worries are with the run flat tires, and the fact that the top had to be "re- programed" since I kept getting an alert that the "hydraulics overheated".

Solid, Stable, Speedy Acceleration

This is a fun car to drive. Super stable and solid, hugs the roads, curves, and hills. Great braking system. If I weren't relocating, and had a garage to store it, I'd keep it forever...... It's not fuel efficient like contemporary BMWs. Like most convertibles, it's not a quiet ride, nor is this a luxury vehicle, if that's what you're looking for. But, if you like to drive " standard"....like me, it's got pizzaz and ummpff..... This is a sports coupe, well-proportioned, small & efficiently designed. I call it "volvoesque." It seats 4, not 2! Its convertible roof is fast and sound. Seats are beautifully leather crafted, but space in rear seats is tight. If you're over 5'10," forget a full seat in the back. Pretend you're a Roman at a dining table, recline, and stretch your legs. My only complaint is a silly (plastic/vinyl ?) cover that dealers put over the center console. It wears off. I serviced my car at Braman BMW where service was outstanding and trustworthy, and when service contract ended, I found an equally excellent mechanic. My car has gotten lots of TLC. It's rewarded me back. The only other car I'd probably be tempted to get would be an Aston Martin. I love my beamer!

Have put ~6K on the car in just two months and have had no problems. The 135i handles like a go-kart, has a silky smooth manual, is comfortable on long hauls, and oh, the sound of 300, 300 when the "go" pedal is mashed! MPG just about 23 overall.
