2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia Consumer Reviews

Stand Out from the Masses :)
TL;DR version: Go test drive one and see for yourself. Full version: So I have always played it "safe" with cars, using magazines like CR faithfully and buying either a Toyota or Honda/Acura product. I really liked the Giulia's looks, the history behind Alfa Romeo, and having a car you don't see everywhere. But, the reliability question was concerning--until I dug deeper. CR doesn't even really have data on Alfa Romeo yet still gives them a rating (e.g. how on earth did they give the Tonale a rating in April issue when it doesn't even go on sale in USA until May '23). I went to forums where actual owners exist and actual owners have mainly had trouble-free experiences. I quickly discovered that many of the people busting on Alfa reliability don't even own one. So with life short if Covid taught us anything, I took the plunge and bought a Giulia. And, I am 100% glad I did. The car handles like no other sedan on the road. If you are a lean person, definitely opt for the sport seats too. You will seat "in" the seat rather than "on" the seat like the Sprint and Ti versions. If you are larger in size though, the sport seats could be too snug (I'm 6ft, 165) due to the side bolsters. I also love that the car has its infotainment system built into the dash and avoids the common trend of slapped tablet onto the dash--and it has plenty of physical buttons to complement the touchscreens. And, the car is f-a-s-t. I keep it in "d" mode for the dna and you can feel the car excited to drive. Which gets to the biggest dislike--other drivers in my way on a curvy road when my Alfa wants to run free! ;)

Superb Drivers Car
Drive it. There is nothing in this class that drives like the Giulia. World class dynamics in terms of handling and ride. The car was updated in 2020 and the interior and finish is first class. I’ve owned all the German competitors. Nothing comes close as an overall package.

wonderful machine the Giulia Veloce
It looks stunning, no doubt. Like the driving too. smooth power delivery. Suspension a poise in compared to my Golf R VII. Love it. Classy. Interior is also nicely done. I don't see the so-often-yelled lack of German quality. It is finished well too. I thought I would miss my Golf R when I replaced it with Giulia. But in the end I find this car more lovely. Good value for money too when in compared with similar German ones.

Great value on an Italian car!
I had planned to buy a Giulia a year ago, but I let Consumer Reports somewhat negative review stop me. I bought something else instead. Well, I needed another car, so I recently decided to buy a Giulia anyway. Don't believe the negative parts of that review! Mine is a 2022 Giulia Veloce in Rossa Etna and I absolutely love this car! I'm 6'3" and I have plenty of room. The controls are simple to use. I'm difficult to please and I can't find any negatives to this car! It's simply the best driving car that I have ever driven! It puts a smile on my face every time that I drive it! Give it a chance. You won't regret it!

A gem of a sedan
Handles like a dream, fast, good gas mileage. Stereo is fine, small but comfy. Oh and it's beautiful.

Quad Version
If performance is first on your list then this is the car for you. Coming from a V-8 Audi S6 the interior and refinement of the Alpha fall short. However, that’s not why I bought it. If you crave jaw-dropping acceleration, telepathic steering and a beautiful raspy engine sound that will awe your passengers and draw curses from your neighbors…look no further.
Alfaholic
This is my 4th Alfa since 2019. I've had (2) 2019 TI Sports, (1). 2020 Stelvio TI Sport and a 2022 Giulia Sprint. I have had minor issues with all of them mostly service throttle body alarms that go away after a restart. It still doesn't give you a warm fussy feeling about taking one of them on a long trip taking a chance of going into limp mode. I would rather rent a car then risk traveling with the limited amount of dealer support and part availability. On the positive side there's nothing like an Alfa when it comes to the driving experience and the smile the car puts on your face every time you drive it. I have owned about every brand of vehicle, and I can say the Alfa is by far my favorite.

Italian Elegance
My 2022 Guilia Veloce AWD drives like it's on rails. Quick, quiet, comfortable, driver centric. No maintenance issues in almost 1 year of ownership. The Guilia is a blast to drive whether running errands or on the highway. Before buying a BMW or Audi drive a Guilia. There's a reason the Guilia keeps winning awards for "Best Car"in its class in Europe. Plus, there is the added benefit that if you get one, you will stand out from the crowd because there aren't many on the road. If it was more of a "mass market" brand, (more units sold, more advertising dollars spent) it might get more love from the car critics in the USA (IMO).

If you don’t enjoy driving this stick with the bus
Bought a 2022 TI leftover in 2023. For a 4 seater car with modern electronics and safety features, this really drives as good as you’re going to get. Really quick and responsive steering that doesn’t feel like I’m playing a video game. Firm but not harsh suspension. Very good real world acceleration with lot’s of punch down low where you can use it on public roads. Nice comfortable seats and good finishes on the things you’ll regularly handle. Good visibility - so much better than every SUV. All wheel drive. Oh, don’t forget it’s actually nice to look at - doesn’t have an absurd 5’ wide grill like new BMW’s and Audis.

A joy to drive
We bought this car after test driving it as it is a complete joy to drive. Beautiful and unique styling, great handling, above average power for cars in it's segment. I highly recommend taking a test drive in the Giulia before buying a BMW 3 series or Audi A4 as you won't be disappointed.
