Used 2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia Consumer Reviews
Best Car I've ever owned.
First a little background. I've been driving Mercedes for over 15 years. CLK convertibles and then the E class convertible. Both far more expensive cars than the Giulia. The Giulia is hands down the most fun car to drive I've ever owned. I finally decided to break away from Mercedes for two reasons. One, the new Mercedes models were ugly and expensive. And two I was looking for something exciting and new, a young man's car rather than something for a Beverly Hills silver fox. I started my quest with Lexus but after sitting in the car for 10 minutes I had such a horrible headache from the off-gassing of toxic interior fumes that I decided not to test drive the car. Even the new Mercedes cars are on the toxic side but the smell tends to fade after three or four months. My wife drives a VW and the toxic smell lasts well into three years, totally disgusting. In stark contrast, The Giulia "new car smell" is rich leather, no bullshit cancer causing Formaldehyde adhesives at all. Apparently Italians actually care enough to not give their customers cancer! The car is peppy and the steering is tight. Gas milage sucks and is way lower than stated but no news there, all brands have the same issue when it comes to overstating miles to gallon. If you want a fun fast car for a far better value than Mercedes, BMW or Lexus than this is your ride! My only wish is that Alfa will get around to producing a coupe 2 door version of the Giulia. I've never been much of a sedan guy but i made awn exception for this one.

Loving my car.
Love everything about it. Just do agree the back seat is very small for its class.

Best car I've ever owned.
The handling and the power, combined with looks that never grow old, this is a superlative car. I've never had a car that I looked forward to driving, so much. And I've owned M3s, S60Rs, G8 GT's, GTI's, etc.. This car will make you intentionally miss your turn! I'm a convert and I'll buy Alfa Romeos as long as they sell them here. Still the best car I've ever owned. Now at 3.5 years and 40K miles. They are so good that both my wife and I bought the cars at the end of the leases, on my Giulia and her Stelvio. We've never done that before! 50K miles, no problems and I still adore my Giulia!

Gets Better With Age
This is a car, like most Italian cars, that seems to get more enjoyable over time. Driver reviews really don't cover this much, but most long term ownership reviews agree that it's a car that eventually feels like it is part of you. The Alfa mystique is still there. And it's a fairly exclusive car due to its poor sales, which means that they are a steal right now. I picked up my Lusso for 32K with less than 22K mikes on it. It was over 60K when new. The drive is fabulous, and I'm glad I opted for RWD instead of AWD. I had a loaner with AWD and didn't find the experience of having less autonomy an advantage. The 2 liter has a big turbo, and it feels sublime on twisty roads in D mode, as this mode keeps you in boost. I was finding the usual Audis and BMW's lacking in excitement, and this car offers that in many unexpected ways.Everybody talks about unreliability, when in fact many Audi and BMW models have worse ratings. But it's popular for the general public to assume that Alfas are unreliable. If you research actual ownership you will see that this is relatively untrue. The only issues I have had are warnings coming up saying that something is currently unavailable, even though they are working fine. Audio, for example. But the HK system and everything else works great. Great stereo sound. I typically drive 80-85 mph and the car still delivers 32 mpg, which is pretty good. I've achieved 37 mpg once, in heavy, steady 55 mph traffic. My Russo Lusso is a car that I'm looking forward to owning a long time.

ALFA is an ALPHA
This is an amazing car with a stigma that Alfa just can’t shake. It is well built, fun, and beautiful. The chassis and engine are great! The AWD system is great in any condition including snow! There nothing I can’t say bad about this car. I switch out cars every year , but I’m having a real hard time parting with this one. Not many other compare with the handling and the looks. Alfa Romeo are not common either which makes it even more enjoyable to own. More compliments and “thumbs up” from others that I’ve ever had with any other vehicle. They truly made an amazing sport luxury vehicle here. Highly recommend!!
