    That's why I'm getting rid of mine. There are people on this forum who have had more than one or two replaced. I'm not willing to do that. Why can't they just "man up" and face the fact that there are issues with their clutch.

    Very well written comment. The Cooper S is a sports car with all the pitfalls of the genre. The Fit is a minivan downsized. Both are great, but they have a completely different purpose in life.

    Think you might be comparing vehicles that really are not comparable. If I was interested in a Mini Cooper, I would also consider the Mazda 3, Volvo C30 and VW Golf/GTI. If I was interested in a Honda Fit, then I would also consider the Scion xD and Toyota Yaris.

    We just picked up our 2010 Mini Cooper hatchback today. We worked with four dealers trying to get the best deal, and it was Mini Morristown, NJ.     I dealt with New Country Mini in Hartford, CT Since car is being built and will likely be delivered in September, one can't lock in the current low financing rates since they are only valid through 8/31. Experience tells me rates will still be there next month too, but at this point it is a little bit of "who knows." Hopefully I will get that 1.9%

    Again, you should read through the many threads that have been posted on this subject. Probably the biggest reason is should you total your car during the lease you will likely lose every $ of your downpayment.
