I had the transmission checked by comnputer. It was a speed sensor on the front drive shaft. This help the Torque On Demand system function. The Check light still blink but the trooper works fine. Wet Floor on Driver's Side 2001 Trooper
I recently bought a 2001 Isuzu Trooper that has a wet floor on the driver's side. I was told that the seal around the window had to be resealed and the leakage happened before this was done. 2001 Trooper Trouble Codes P1125, P1295 and P1515
I had the same codes displayed and this is what I found. Isuzu moved the ECU into the engine compartment and the wiring is most sensitive. After replacing the TPS (throttle Position Sensor) the problem still occured. You recieve these codes becuase there is a loss in cunductivity within the wire harness in the engine compartment. Did a diagnostic too when the CEL came on for no apparent reason. My 99 only has 129400 on it. The result was the EGR sensor/valve. Now, I feel like the issue was oil since my engine has now locked up. If only I'd known the a couple of quarts would've alleviated the problem. They all burn oil, i have a 2000 with 93000 that has burned oil since new. You MUST check oil weekly, if not bi weekly. Also, use 20/50, NOT 10 W 30!!! If in warmer climate,use 30 wgt detergent oil. Im in florida and use 40 wgt in summer, slows oil burning in half.

It sounds like the same problem i had with my 2000, intake manifold gasket. The gasket was a defect when built and the new one you put in will prevent it from happening again.

Hi My daughter's 2001 Isuzu Trooper with 89K miles is using oil real bad. I had the oil changed and about 1000 miles later I noticed that there was no oil on the dip stick. Thanks for the reply! I forgot to mention that my transmission fluid is leaking...so it could possibly be same issue just being a valve. I dropped it off at AAMCO this morning to have the fluid drained and refilled, not flushed. I had the same problem at about 85,000 miles. It also was leaking transmission fluid. I took it to the dealer and it was only an inexpensive valve on the transmission. The cost was under $50.00 but covered under the warranty.

Starter at 89000 miles is suspiciously close to the life of the typical car battery. If the voltage is too low the starter will be working much longer and at worst case voltage conditions. .. Are you out of warranty on the transmission? If you are original owner powertrain warranty should be 10 years, 120,000 miles. Of course if you are not the original owner, I think it dropped to 60K miles, not sure if it is 3 or 5 years...isuzu.com does not cover that.

I've been a Trooper owner in Colorado for 10 years. You are getting what I think is normal performance for an early trooper. Just be glad you have a stick shift. The automatic would be worse. If I am correct Error code 13 and 14 was the front wheel speed, 24 was the rear wheel sensor circuit. There is a specific code for either the front or rear speed sensors. Last oil change was with an oil cleaning flush administered by my Isuzu mechanic where they run the engine with a machine inplace of the oil filter.
