Once again the Honda CR-V makes do with a humble four-cylinder engine and five-speed automatic transmission, but is that enough for family SUV buyers? They'll have to answer that themselves, but to give them a hand, we brought the new CR-V to the Edmunds.com test track to see what performance they can expect. Acceleration was tested with 0-60 and quarter-mile tests, while braking was calculated using 60-0. Handling tests included a timed slalom and two trips around a skid pad to generate a lateral acceleration calculation.
