Volvo is selling new cars with known defects and does not have a fix. Electronics in the car will just intermittently stop working including the dashboard and lights! They are a Zero in my book!

I purchased a 2024 XC90 Ultimate recharge plug in in March when my 2019 XC90 Inscription was totaled when a deer ran in front of us on a highway in Pennsylvania and we emerged without a scratch and whiplash. My new car has had nothing but problems with the electronics!!!! It has been in the shop for software update and now is in the shop for 2 weeks because 5 different notices of failure came up on the dashboard. I have learned that the front mitigation system only activates at 37 mph and does not have a setting. A bicyclist crossed in front of me when I was making a 3 point turn and the car didn't make a sound. Someone would be killed at 37mph. My previous car had a setting for distance and speed and it saved many a fender bender. The rear break causes the car to come to a stop when backing up with a bike rack and can cause whiplash. The service department tells me they need Volvo central to remotely advise. I am without my new car for two weeks. I am a 5 time Volvo owner and this is unacceptable. I opened a case with Volvo as I feel like I have a lemon. The car drives like a dream but these problems make me concerned about the technology, future costs and the reliability of the safety that Volvo is known for.

After looking at many vehicles. Looked at the Volvo last. But by far the classiest best choice of over 7 subs we looked at under 60000

I find operating the features on this SUV awkward at best, temperamental and difficult at worst. Put back seats down, now can't lift up center booster Seat. Tried manual and you tube to no avail. Called customer service and they said they couldn't help and to call dealership which is closed. The gas cap malfunctioned and I sat in the gas station for half hour until I got someone from Volvo tell me because the software updated I had to reset with key fob. You have to be VERY careful to press hard when putting the car in park. I find it dangerous that it is so temperamental. Too many peculiarities with little help when on the road.

This is not my first volvo, but I’m not pleased with the breaking system, which requires way too much effort on my foot in my knee.
