Bought this "dream car" for my daughter in college. Can't deny the fact that it is fast and fun to drive, but the quality is lousy. It has been in the shop no less 7 times in 8 months for both windows ( a known fault), stereo problems, brake problems, airbag problems. The last time the srvice personnel were frustrated and said that it looked like it had been put together using spare parts and not the right ones. Never again a VW.

This is my 3rd new body style GTI (99' 0r newer). I love it. Powerpacked, loaded with luxury and safty features. Awesome warrenty, 5,000 mile sevrive intervals, and good customer service. I would recomend to anyone looking for a fun/safe to drive $20,000 car. No better car for the $$.

I've had this car for almost three weeks now and I am very satisfied with my purchase. The car looks great in silverstone grey with black leather interior and the additional splash guards give the car a lower profile along with fewer trips to the car wash. So far, I'm very impressed with the car's performance and handling. It is very quick off the line and has nice linear surges of power as I row through the pleasantly precise and somewhat notchy gear box. When I dive into the twisites, the car has a little body roll but reamins compliant and controlled. The Monsoon stereo sounds great and the automatic climate control system is very easy to use.

Everything is great, fully loaded and features are excellent, only problem I've had so far ia a defective hood release

This is my third GTI after owning an '87 16V and then a '95 VR6. I feel all of my complaints with the other two were addressed with the Anniversary Edition. There is no more rolling through the curves, no more wobbly shifter, and a tighter suspension. This car is hot looking and fun to drive!
