2016 Kia Sedona
My wife and I bought a van because we had a third kid on the way. We looked at the Dodge Caravan (before the big 2016 or 2017 update), Honda Odyssey, and Toyota Sienna.
The Caravan was fun to drive, but we didn’t see it being a good long term vehicle.
The Honda and the Toyota were awesome, but way more expensive.
We were about to settle on the Honda when we decided to try the Kia. …
We were pleasantly surprised! It’s a comfortable van to drive and ride in. I have some things I like and things I don’t though.
Like:
1) Ride quality
2) Price
3) The interior is cheap, but still looks good.
4) It’s been reliable for the 2 years we’ve had it so far.
Dislike:
1) gas mileage isn’t as good as other vans
2) The middle row seats can’t be removed and don’t stow away in a good position to allow for as much storage space as other vans.
3) The radio technology is “meh...”. It does what it is supposed to, but it’s not the best in the world.
Ultimately, my wife and I knew we weren’t getting the latest and greatest van on the market. BUT, our bank account is pretty happy with us. We take good care of it and it takes care of us. It does what we need it to do, and we enjoy driving it.
