2017 Chevrolet Volt
Still luv this car. Since the AC hose needed replacement. Have EGR high pressure code Dreded 401. Looked at ALL owner posts. Found a good local mechanic. Identifed dirty temperature sensore and dirty cooler. Cleaned both. No issues. before changing ANY thing on the EGR system, have mechanic test and possibly clean. Also, STOP using gas without detergents. Like non-name brand … stations. Finally had enough. The car 'Bricked' had to get towed 90 miles. My Mechanic identified a bad HV battery cell. So needs to be replaced. Absolutely no support from ANY Chevy dealer of GMC HQ. Found a company that would swap with reconditioned one for 14k$. Really, decision time. NO MORE EV for me. Back to reliable and part supported ICE. Great choice. It's actually greener than the Fraud EV. Based on MPG vs miles per KW. even at almost 4$ per gal. I support EV by choice. Not the soon to be mandate. So much for the average working man affording an EV. Too bad. I thought GM had a winner. OOPS. not so much.
