Runs forever with a catch
The pros on this vehicle are it's very roomy and great for traveling. The engine and tranny last forever but that also comes with a caveat. The maintenance on this forever engine can be pricey due to the dreaded timing belt. You have to change the water pump as well when you do this. This is done every 80 to 100K miles at a cost of around $1000. I also included a spark plug change the last time I did this, which bumped the cost up even more. I am closing in on 300K so I've done this a few times now. Everything comes with a price. Vehicle still runs great, though and I've taken care of interior from day one so the seats still look brand new; I have to give some credit to Toyota on the seat material as it has held up very well through the years. Still get 20 miles to the gallon around town. I would expect that to translate to 24 or 25 miles to the gallon on the freeway. Haven't used it for a trip in a few years so I can't confirm the highway mileage. I bought this vehicle in February of 2007 with 20K miles on it and change the oil every 5K miles.

Original engine and transmission!
297,000 miles going strong! Changed timing belt, water pump, rotors, alignment and battery within the year but it’s regular maintenance! Oil change every 3,000 miles with synthetic oil. I love my van. Drives so smooth! Only thing that doesn’t work are the power sliding doors. I’m use to it. Manual it is.

Great van
Very reliable, very versatile, have owned from new. Other than changing the oil and timing belt and two batteries the van has not needed any repairs. Great van
Van for family on the go!
This van was a big part of my family growing up! It provided safety, comfort, security and reliability. It hauled my family thru grade school, middle school, high school then on to college. I think it could drive its self to the beach. It has tremendous room for passengers and cargo. Toyota reliability is all they say it is. The comfort when traveling on trips is outstanding and the fuel economy is still above 20 MPG on the road. It is an older model so it doesn't have the latest technology.

since 3-09 till present 2=17 toyota sienna le
almost 8 years and it was already 3 yrs old with 40k, now has 130k. I want to rave about it( we have taken it down to central Mexico, MN(2x) MI, Niagara falls, NY (2x) from Texas), but it has started to give me more repairs. at 100k had timing belt water pump etc redone. 17 months ago one of the cylinders stopped, fixed and shortly after check engine light. last summer fixed that for 500. 2 months ago starting to shake over 40mph. rack and pinion, water pump (if heater and ac don't blow correctly may be water pump), timing belt (if replacing water pump best to do timing belt at same time) and thermometer as starting to over heat. still some shake over 40mph. (Firestone has a lifetime alignment which is a great value if you hold onto your vehicles.) As getting older (11 yrs old now) the time, money, and aggravation of repairs increase. will hold onto this for several more years (maybe 6) but will not drive it on long trips any more. I have wanted to have a vehicle that I hold onto for many years, and this is it. 2 american vehicles I bought new started to give me so much trouble after 5 years that I got rid of them ( a town and country and a vibe). I think all of my vehicles will be toyotas going forward.
