No Soccer Moms Here
When my wife and I were looking to replace her Ford station wagon she was determined to buy a small SUV. Being used to the space in the wagon all the mid-sized SUV's we looked at seemed too small to hold the kids/dogs/groceries/SOCCER. We looked at the Sienna. Wow what a differnce. It even blows away the space we had in the wagon, and has so many little extras it took us about a week after we had the van to find them all. The ride is great, quiet and all the safety features are hard to match in a mid-sized SUV. My wife never thought she would own a van (she loves sports cars) so the deal maker was I agreed to add a sun roof.
Mini -Van for the Wife
My wife had a Grand Caravan that we traded for a Tahoe. My wife has wanted another mini-van ever since. We chose the Toyota based on reputation for reliability, safety, and the fact that it has more leg and headroom for me at 6'4" than Honda or Nissan. The 3.3L Toyota engine blows away the 3.8L Dodge engine, and handling is very car like. So far we have about 1000 miles on it, and fuel economy is a reasonable 23mpg on the highway. I never thought I'd by a Toyota, but I'm happy with it. My next new truck might very well be a Toyota.

Not better than I ever expected
I can admit that Sienna is one of the best minivan in the country and had fun driving. When I drove this car at first, I thought I was driving in heaven, but that does not last long. Why? The performance of this car seemed lower than before, but not bad that much. What made me feel upset was the poor quality sound equipped with my LE 8 passenger car. Comparing with my Accord EX, it's hard to say I have no complaints on it. It's unbelievable that Toyota has such a poor quality sound system with 6 CD changers equipment in it.
NO Repairs
Drove it off the lot and more than 50k miles later this Sienna hasn't been back. Get oil changed wherever, wore out the stock Dunlops at 30k, and replaced them with Costco Michelins, and had the front brake pads replaced at 45k.I do brake and corner very hard. Snappy engine and tranny seem to egg me on, although numb steering takes the fun out of it. LE seats are so so on long drives, and I wish now I had gone with the upscale stereo. Power door on the right only is fine for me, but a smaller driver would want a power door on the left also. Hatch is very heavy too, and forget about folding and removing seats unless you're prepared for a workout.
Great for the whole family
I am a long time owner of Toyota vehicles so I didnt need to be sold on the quality. Plus, Toyotas hold their value so you dont lose much buying new. I just wanted to make an educated decision. I researched this van for over a month. I found the real owner reviews to be great. This van came highly recommended. Most importantly this van has great safety features for your family. My whole family is safe in this van. I love the way it drives. You feel like youre gliding around in traffic. I can carry 8 people around with the a/c full blast and I still have excellent power.
