Typical Toyota Dependability
This is an excellent family vehicle. The only real problems are the weak brakes, rattle in the rear (found in plastic panels and fixed with foam tape), and confusing accessory controls on steering wheel. Small price to pay for unequaled dependability and family safety.
Very Good Van
We got our Sienna in 1999 when the new Honda van just came out. We couldn't even find one to test drive. We looked at the Sienna and the Villager and it was a no contest. This van is good to drive, allows flexible seating and storage, and is extremely durable. We just paid it off and are looking forward to driving it for another four years.

A minivan that's easy to love.
I ordered my Sienna sight-unseen over the internet. I was living in Ft Smith, AR. I had gone into the Toyota dealer there. They weren't interested in making a deal and didn't even have a Sienna on the showroom floor. I submitted a search using Autobuytel and the Tulsa, OK dealer contacted me. They offered me a great deal on a Sienna CE. I picked my new Sienna up on a rainy afternoon in late September and immediately fell in love with it on the 95 mile drive home to Ft Smith that day. It handles like a dream. Other feel top-heavy and don't manuver well at speed. You get none of that feel with the Sienna. It sticks to the road like a champ.
Our XLE Sienna
We bought this as a certified used van in 2003 w/28k. It now has 103k and still going strong. This has been a great van. The interior space is a little smaller than our old Previa was, but it has been ok. Since we have owned it we have had very few repairs beyond normal service. The window guides had to be replaced at one point and we had an O2 sensor replaced. The leather is starting to show signs of wear, but generally still in good shape. Gas mileage has been about 18 in the city and 23-24 on the highway (I drive fast). I would buy this van again with no regrets.
HARD TO DEAL WITH
BIGGEST PROBLEMS ARE DEALING WITH TOYOTA DEALERS. BUT THE VAN IS RELIABLE AFTER 36000 MILES HAVE HAD BRAKE LIGHT COME ON SEVERAL TIME. AIR PRESSURE LIGHT WAY TO SENSITIVE.AIR CONDITIONER WENT OUT AFTER 2 WEEKS FROM BRINGING HOME. LEASE WAS UP WENT TO HONDA ODDESEY , TWICE THE VAN AND A LOT CHEAPER. GOODYEAR TIRES ARE JUNK. YOU WILL REPLACE THEM AT 12000 MILES
