I was always told that toyota had the best vehicles out there, I don't beleive that anymore. At 28,000 miles I could already feel the transmission going out on this suv. I took it 3 times to 2 different dealers and none of them would admit that it had a problem. I was at at the middle of a huge intersection when I decided I had to make a u-turn, and guess what? the car just died out on me right there in the middle. Dealer found nothing wrong with it. I purchased this car with 25,000 miles on it, and it was a certified vehicle. Is anyone surprised about all the recalls toyota is facing right now? I'm not. Thank you for your failure to me toyota. I am going all american from now on.

Sequoia heartache

Rides Like a Lexus, wondering if your still high on your 2005 Sequoia. I’ve got 126k on mine and I was just told I need my second water pump and and timing belt replacement, just because the water pump is leaking. First time was with just 65k. Also my passenger side cv boot is leaking, 1800 or so to repair that, this friggin vehicle is lacking expected quality in my opinion. Hopefully you get more than 65k out of your water pump. Not feeling good about this thing at this point...

Update on 2005 Sequoia

I have had my 05 Sequoia back to the dealer's twice for the same problem. Front end vibration and steering wheel centering in only 3300 miles. Little has been accomplished in both problems. Will probably need a THIRD visit. Dealer rebalanced all four tires (Dunlop) and rotated them with little difference. Also re-aligned front end. Will probably need a different set of tires, a la the Firestone problem. Gas gauge went to empty despite 3/4 tank of gas. Am thoroughly disgusted with this vehicle. Wish I had never traded my 2003 Suburban. In summary, SEQUOIA, OVER- RATED and OVER-PRICED.

I traded in a Kia Sportage for my Toyota Sequoia, and I couldn't be happier except in the gas department, of course. Great vehicle for those who don't want a minivan.
