Under engineered brakes

I have had to replace front and back breaks every 25,000 to 15,000 miles. I live on a hill but think brakes should last longer than this. Brakes were never a problem with my 4-runner or pathfinder driving the same hill everyday. Each time I replace the brakes its about $300. I like the car alot but want to trade it in for another car that has brakes that can handle the hills.

We purchased a black Limited 4WD model and have loved all 28000 miles we've put on it. It's traveled cross country and it shines at high speeds. This SUV will creep up to 90MPH so easily its frightening. The interior is great -- get the grey leather -- Climate control is excellent, as is JBL. My only gripe would be make the front seat slide back a bit more for taller drivers. I'm 6'3 and I can find a more comfortable position in my ford expedition or Volvo XC. Also, the steering wheel feels like it was designed for girl hands-- very small, makes my hands cramp up. Those are my only suggestions. We have loved this car and would recommend it to anyone.

Other than Honda, been waiting for full size ute that wasn't Landcruiser price range. Got Ltd 2wd loaded minus side airbags, 41.5k for my wife, only time I got to drive after bringing it home was once a week. I love it, she loves it more, that = I get to drive once a week. Got so fed up, found a used 2001 SR5 leather, 15k miles for 31.5k.(I didn't believe it either) Now we are a 2 Sequoia family. I am smiling now. Almost opted for Tahoe/Yukon. Knew of Toyota quality. The Seq just gets all types of looks! Her's is white, Mine's is Thunder Gray/champagne trim.

Powerful and smooth, with good mileage at cruise speeds. Very tight handling. Third Toyota I've bought, and won't buy anything else.
