Very good hybrid with great mpg
I have had my XLE Premium for almost a year. After getting my fuel gauge working as expected in the early months (fuel tank emptied and refilled - gas gauge works properly), the car has been problem free. I replaced the original Michelin Primacy tires with quieter Pirelli's which improved the noise level and handling. I generally keep my speed at 65 or a bit less on the highway - 44mpg on recent trip back from down east Maine. Vehicles like this are less than aerodynamic and tend to drop mpg much over 65mph. I find noise levels very acceptable at 65mph - tire change helped here. Handling and ride are as expected - even with tire air pressures at 37 which also helps the mpg. Of course, my mileage dropped during the winter as it does with all cars, but still very good. The higher tire pressure I use is well below cold pressure tire rating max and seems to improve handling as well as helping mpg.. All of the safety equipment has worked well - nice to have RCTA along with heated front seats and steering wheel. Controls are easy to use. So if you want an economical to drive SUV that is easy to get in and out of, get one of these hybrids - quieter than the gas only version and just as reliable. Just keep in mind the beneficial result from a change in tire. Toyota continues to make the most reliable cars/suvs overall which is a really good thing. If you are an aggressive and a fast driver on the highway, your mpg and noise levels will vary from mine.

Cheap Cover for Trunk
I have always loved Toyota and have bought them. Toyota is starting to get cheaper on items in the car. We just purchased a 2022 Rav4 Hybrid and kept our 2015 RAV4. The back cover for the tire in our 2015 was sting and worked great. I could put tile and other items in there. I took my 2022 and put tile in the back and it broke. They put a seam in the middle of the trunk space that the dealer said will hold no more than 200 lbs. The trunk space is seriously a piece of plastic junk. Not happy about them cutting corners to save money 😞

An Honest 40 MPG, SUV
I traded my 2021 Rav 4 for a new 2022 Rav 4 Hybrid. How do I like it? The new car is still noisy on the road, a decent ride on decent pavement . . . but the gas mileage is remarkable for an SUV of this size. It is making an honest 40 MPG, tank after tank after tank. And, fuel prices are approaching $4 per gallon. The 40 MPG makes me a happy camper. There are also some other things that I like about this hybrid. Like the 360 degree camera. I have mine set so the camera comes on as speed is reduced to less than 5 MPH. I find it useful pulling into parking spots, I can see the lines as I pull in. I also like the ventilated seats. I like it when it is hot and and I am setting in the car waiting for my wife . . . the air-conditioning runs off of the battery for several minutes, with the motor OFF. I like the immediate burst of power from the electric motors, if you need it. I like the size, not too big, but big enough of me. I like Toyota providing all required maintenance for the first 2 years. I watch car reviews on YouTube. I like, as one of the car reviewers recently said, "Buying a Toyota, is like putting money in the bank." "They just don't depreciate like other brands."

Tall people don't fit in this car
If you are taller than 6 ft, or you frequently have a passenger taller than 6 feet, don't get this car. My partner is 6'3" and doesn't fit in the front passenger seat. He barely fits in the driver seat. The passenger seat only has manual front-back and recline adjustments. There is no height adjustment in the passenger seat. The passenger seat is set much higher up than the driver seat. There is also a support beam that lowers the ceiling height right behind the front seats, forcing you to recline even further if you are trying to get some head room. Air bags don't provide the same level of safety when you are in the reclined position. There are only height adjustable passengers seats in the Limited trim.
Overall solid economical SUV with few flaws!
I ordered in XLE trim at full MSRP because waiting period on Limited trim was too long (as of 01/2022). Now, I believe Limited is well worth extra time to wait and money! Cons: The worst part about LE and XLE trim is SEATS! Although seats are made of Softex material, there is Nothing soft about them. They feel extremely harsh and uncomfortable. Passenger seat is manual adjusted. If you buy in LE trim the driver seat adjustment could be manual as well. Steering wheel size is a bit small and feels cheap. Wireless phone charing is not present in XLE trim. Engine is a bit noisy on high revs. The pros: Quick acceleration, impressive fuel economy (~40 mpg) , steady road feel at higher speeds, better design and ergonomics than previous generation, easy integration with android and Apple phones, high resale value.
