Good overall value - and mileage
My first drive impression was very positive, very quiet, a lot of room in the back and front. Reclining rear seats (a plus). Engine shuts OFF/ON is hardly noticeable. Big improvement in seats comfort over previous models. Gas mileage calculated at the pump in Alberta mild winter: first tank was 5.5L/100km (42.7mpg US) temp. -10 to 5C (14F to 41F) second tank was 5.02L/100km (46.8mpg US) temp. -5 to 5C (23F to 41F)
Good, not great; I can live with it for next 5 years
Traded a 2006 Prius after 150,000mi. The V , level 3 drives like any Prius. Already gone 8,000 miles. Gets you there but not exciting. Handling safe but uninspired. A 21st century minivan/wagon. Quieter and much more comfortable than my old one. Improved driver seat. Surprising hauling capacity and greatly improved rear visibility. MPG is 44 no matter how driven. The extra length make it harder to park in tight spots. It is almost as long as my other car, a Camry. Feels safer than old Prius, airbags everywhere. The extra size makes a great difference in long drive comfort. Some tech issues with nav/entune. Gas prices need to stay high to justify the price and bland driving experience.

Surprisingly fun for a sensible car!
Nobody buys a Prius for adventures and nobody buys a station wagon for sporty driving, yet I found this Prius V to be a surprisingly delightful vehicle. It has nimble steering and sporty brakes, which give it a kind of rally car feel when driving, and though the acceleration is typical of a hybrid until you hit the 'PWR Mode' button and then rather nice, it's more than enough for the sort of driving I generally like to get up to in an average week. If I wanted a real rally car, I could easily rent a nice one several times a year for races just with what I save on gasoline with my lovely Prius V, and not having to bend in half to buckle my kid into her car seat is especially delightful. The instrument cluster is pleasing and I found the stereo a welcome change from my old vehicle. The seats have a nice intersection between comfort and ease of maintenance, which as a mom I like, and I especially love the cargo room. As accessories go, I recommend the all-weather laser-fit floor mats most. Having owned it a while, I'm getting used to the entertainment features. The Bluetooth works well, the stereo sounds great, but it does take a while to get used to. The USB is one that will set an mp3 player or phone to 'synch' rather than just charging and start trying to play any sound files you have saved to your device, so be aware of that. But otherwise, still neat. Update 3/2021: Prius V continues charming. Replaced her tires, found them more affordable size-wise than many cars I've had. Update 3/2022: Prius V continues delightful. Stereo an especial treat on long drives and short commutes, I'm especially liking the Bluetooth. Also, with the gas price kerfuffle in the news, I am enjoying some company on the way to work; it turns out the back is surprisingly roomy, even for tall adults, and my 38-45MPG continues even with me picking up a few friends whose SUVs and trucks are too pricy to commute in at current rates, and the cargo room in the wayback has space for all of our things. You can't beat the V for carpooling, and one of the friends calls it the 'victory car.' The stereo lets us all collaborate on the playlist and sing together, and I've learned two folk songs from Ukraine as I've driven us. Never thought my little hybrid would be useful for this, of all things, but maybe that's what the V was meant to stand for.

Right time, Right car
Have had my Prius V for a month and have never got less than 46 mpg. Bring on the $4 + a gallon gas! At first I was reluctant to buy such a different type of vehicle, but this is turning out to be a great choice. There is far more interior room than it looks like it has from the outside. I love the upright seats and with the V the rear view is much easier to see out of than the original Prius. The backup camera is a great safety feature and has already saved me once.
Excellent!!! Love It!!!
Smooth Drive, no noise, good mileage ( 45m/g on avg in winter )(50m/g on hot days). Lot of room inside, smooth transition between electric and gas engine. USB option, Aux option, bluetooth option, cd option. Huge trunk space. Basically I loved the car very much.
