Extremely Happy
I hesitated initially because my 2005 Prius' seats were uncomfortable due to lack of lumbar support; I sold it after driving for a year at loss. Fortunately, every v comes with a power lumbar support and as such the seat is very comfortable. I purchased one in black with a package V. The synthetic leather fits and supports my body better than cloth. Also, it handles better with 17 in. wheels, granted it is not a sports car. LED headlights give a bright view at night. It is quiet and smooth on the freeway. It is also very spacious! I brought a Q size memory foam mattress(FOLDED) from Ikea in v with my wife! I have gotten 43MPG in mixed driving of 1,000 miles so far.
A Few Suggestions
I traded a 2008 Buick Enclave for my 2012 Toyota Prius. Overall, I agree with the other reviews with one HUGE caution. On the turnpike the road noise is deafening... So much so that having a conversation or listening to the radio, CD, I Pod etc results is a challenge. The Buick was whisper quiet and my Prius V is similar to driving a tin can. Other than the above the car is perfection but the cabin noise is irritating. I sincerely don't know if purchasing a loaded Prius to gain excellent fuel economy was worth giving up the creature comforts of peace and quiet.

Best Car I've Owned
I purchased my 2012 Prius V especially for a cross country trip I took in April-May 2012. After 36 days and 9,200 miles of aggressive driving through deserts, mountains and cities, I averaged 40.2 mpg. In the two years I've owned this car, it has been trouble free. I love the gas mileage and comfort. I am 6' 6" tall and have plenty of head room......even in the back seat! I've been amazed how little head/legroom so-called "LARGE and LUXURY" Sedans and SUVs have.......this one has more than most of them! It's roomy and versatile.....I can flatten the back seats and carry Home Improvement supplies (I've hauled 8-10 ft lumber totally inside, by resting the front of the boards on the dashboard), or sleep back there when camping if I choose. It's not as much fun to drive as my previous stick shift, but it is definitely the best car I've owned. I would definitely buy another one, especially if they come out with a plug-in. March 2016 Update.......I'm up to 42,000 miles without ANY problems whatsoever. Extremely reliable, still great gas mileage. Looking forward to checking out the new generation Prius Prime plug-in when it hits dealers later this year.

The perfect car for high gas prices
I like everything about our Prius V! It is fun to drive and the MPG is averaging 43. Plenty of room in the back for two adults and when you put the seats down...the room is wonderful.
A Great Hybrid Wagon
I purchased a Prius V to replace a totaled Ford Escape hybrid. With the Escape hybrid line discontinued, the Prius V was my best choice for a hybrid with cargo room. Comparable in size to a Mazda 5 (but with no third row seat), the Prius V is more like an oversized Matrix than a traditional Prius. It's roomy and comfortable to ride in, but it lacks the power and handling of the old Ford Escape Hybrids. The fuel economy is fantastic for a car this size (I average about 40 mpg) and the whole package exudes a sense of cutting edge technology.
