Used 2021 Toyota Highlander Consumer Reviews
OK, it has been a year and we are very satisfied
We just finished a road trip and it is a very comfortable car to travel in. There are so many settings to learn that it is an ongoing process. We finally got the foot opening of the tailgate figured out, We learn another trick every trip. This is a very polished and refined auto, and we are very pleased with the performance and reliability. If you need the third seat it is there but we usually just have it configured for cargo. The Android Auto works well and we usually have it on Waze when traveling and the screen is nice and large and the audio is great. Year two finds us still very satisfied. The car has been back to the dealer for several services to address covered issues. One was a noise that was addressed with an updated bracket for the radiator. The other was an electronic issue that we did not see any issue with but needed to be addressed. We have had all the regular maintenance covered by a service package that was included in the purchase price that we did not pay for. We purchased this vehicle through a great purchase service company we have used for over 20 years, Great price and no haggling, plus a national search for the vehicle with the features we wanted.

2021 Highlander Limited lacking some stuff!
Great vehicle but for not too happy with the 8 speed transmission. Coming from an Avalon Limited with 6-speed, this is not as smooth as my previous car. Also the limited Highlander is lacking auto wipers and thigh extensions found in my previous car of the same trim.

Classic
We like our highlander very much but I must say I drove the Subaru Ascent for a week and the handling was more comfortable and more responsive. A stupid negative with our Highlander -we have the XLE with everything but it does not have a compass -how strange is that, Toyota could do better.

Well designed for Retirees
Lower MPG than the Avalon, even though the engine is identical- No dipstick to check Transmission fluid—-??? What is the reason for engine design that needs 6 1/2 Qts for oil change? What is the reason for eliminating the Spin-on Oil Fliter??
21 Platinum Hybrid
Great gas mileage, smooth ride, comfort, lots of bells and whistles
