I love the car, but once it hit 120K, I called the dealer and was told this has a timing chain not a belt and not to worry about changing it. 3 weeks later my chain slipped and now I need a new motor. Its going to run me 2700.00 to replace the motor, or 2500.00 to fix it. People need to know these have chains, but the flaw is the tention part that keeps in correctly goes out.. and Boom, no more car.

I am a loyal Audi owner, but decided to take chance on this purchase. I have a pearl black fully loaded version, the only version sold in Canada. So far, the car has been phenomenal. It is quiet, refined, interior is all leather and very well put together. The sporty ride and good power are as advertised, and very impressive. I am getting used to the CVT, but the paddle-shifters compensate for tranny issues, as I would have preferred a stick, but it is not sold here. It is not an Audi, but is very close, and for $20,000 less than a comparably equipped A-4, I am a happy camper. I will likely avoid all of the reliability issues/problems encountered with the audis in the long run. Great job.

10 out of 10 - Not your typical Suzuki

I honestly was looking at Mercedes and Audi, the C300 Sport and A4. In between the two dealerships was the New Sutliff Suzuki. Having owned 2 Suzuki's before I knew they were good, reliable, tough little cars... But what's this big BMW looking car on the lot? After a little deliberating and going back and forth between the Big two I choose the Suzuki. Why? It's just better all around. The lower cost is a bonus. Having the only one in the corporate lot is a big plus. It drives like a BMW (think 2002-2006 3 series), has build quality like a Mercedes (seriously, not kidding around it does) and all the safety features of an Audi A8 (10 airbags, EuroNCAP 5 star-higher than C300)!

UPDATE: At 130k miles, the mileage is actually the best it has ever been, corners amazingly, and is responsive in traffic and on the highway. I had to replace the brakes at 120k miles then the water pump at 125k miles. The pump was a bit more $ than desired but that is because of the difficult to reach location. At 130k miles, it still rides perfectly. Once a month it won't start, reading "Steering Wheel Lock is On." After a few times wiggling the wheel and opening and shutting the driver door, it cranks right up. It is actually a common problem with the car (see kizashiclub.com) based on a little motor in the steering column that malfunctions. So, minor concerns and typical maintenance items only. Its got another 10-15k miles left, we hope. I have one more new driver to beat it up. ORIGINAL: I bought the Kizashi for my teen because of the great crash test ratings and the safety of awd. That was 20k ago and now at 110k it is my favorite car to drive. Overall: It’s very smooth, great in turns, awd tackles snow well (with the right tires of course) and has room for a family of four. Truth be told, I grab the car and give my teen the minivan on weekends if she is too slow to get started. Comfort: Contoured memory seats, rear a/c vents, quiet Power: Decent but nothing exciting which fits my middle-aged needs; Braking is powerful and very safe Downsides: CVT saps the power on takeoff and the CVT whine concerns me for longevity but there is a TSB to help that a bit; paint chips easily but it’s older now anyway; a trustworthy Suzuki repair facility is an hour away and parts are tough to come by. Overall, this is a great car that I would consider new if possible.
