Good, but pricey
I've had it for a month and love the outside and interior, the mileage is great and very comfortable seats. I have owned 2 Outbacks and 2 Legacys and loved them. Disappointed that to be known for safety you have to put a lot of effort in checking around you for cars. There is no auto lock when you walk away. There are no rainsensing wipers. My last car was a CX5 and I loved the zippiness and heads up display which was very nice with my neck issues. Still getting use to it.

A quiet surprise
Subaru is the unofficial car of Oregon. As a non-native, die hard wagon fan, car lover, payment hater, seeking inclusion I bought a legacy GT wagon in 1998. Drove it until the inevitable head gasket crack and moved on. Proud to have owned one I left the experience underwhelmed. The capabilities in the snow lived up to the legendary status. I worked full time at Timberline Lodge on Mt Hood and tested its capabilities beyond reason. The culture of a local prides itself in being unreasonable. The Subaru delivered. But a lack of power, poor gas mileage, meaningful repairs and a waring ride left me grateful but a poor brand ambassador. 25 years later and handing down my 2005 4Runner to my son . I reluctantly gave Subaru another look. Holy moly what a great decision. The 2023 outback XT is everything I wished the 98 GT was and more. The power is fantastic, the ride as smooth and comfortable as any car I’ve been in . Maybe slightly noisier than my buddies Taycan but please……. Is he really going to park that in the ski area lot?! The tech is amazing. Yes I’ve been driving an 05 Limited 4Runner which may be the best car ever built but man all the cool tech is super helpful and convenient. Subaru. It’s good to be back!

Higher then 4 but I think no way there is a perfec
Outback 2023 my wife and I traded in 2013 when they offered us 12,000 trade in. I took care of it and IT HAD 90,000 but most miles were Boston, NYC, DC Miami City driving, The car needed a few things also and after 8 dogs had been through its seats were ripped and stained. Really I think we had brakes go way too soon on the original few recalls but nothing ever major. Was a toss-up over Toyota 4 runner, Lexus 350, a few others but bang for buck on the limited really nice. technoghy was 100% upgrade from 2013.
