Used 2010 Subaru Outback Consumer Reviews
Not a Station Wagon Anymore!
The requirements for a new car to replace our 1997 Outback was not to have an SUV nor CUV, but a wagon with 5* safety and AWD. Well, we ended up with the 2010 Outback, which is a combo of all three. Little did we know after we brought car home and seeing it in our garage, this is a large CUV/smaller SUV, not the usual Outback wagon. It is huge and if you are against SUV/CUV's, this is not your vehicle. Not sure how we will deal with driving an SUV, as it seems OK, but, it feels like I am driving a tank. I am also shocked to read neg comments on roof rack.
Happy with my 1st Subaru
Traded in my 99 Lexus RX300 for a 2010 Outback. This is not the old Subaru that people have in mind. It has more room at the back than the RX. With the limited trim, I don't miss any luxury features and I got more tech stuff like blue tooth, mp3, steering wheel control, etc. Compared to the RX, this car is more stable when cornering. The ride is comfortable and quiet. With 2.5L engine and CVT, the gas mileage is very good. I have only driven 200 miles but in heavy rain, it handles beautifully. I looked at Honda CRV and Toyota Rav4 before deciding on the Outback. I'm totally happy with the quality, fit and ride. Funny, I don't even miss my Lexus! Luxury car drivers, don't overlook Subaru!

Love, love, love it!
I love this car. It is so practical, yet stylish. I get so many compliments on it. It's a very capable SUV with good gas mileage, many creature comforts, and an impressive list of well-thought-out features. I have had some hiccups on my particular vehicle, such as trouble with cold starts and a noise in the steering column. However, Subaru has done a fantastic job addressing these issues and won't rest until they are completely resolved. You cannot go wrong with this vehicle!
Suburu Delivers Again
My wife and I are thrilled with our 2010 Subaru Outback 2.5 LTD edition. Fit and finish are excellent, road noise minimal. The CVT transmission functions smoothly, minimizing engine noise on acceleration. Amenities are numerous and well placed. Road feel is positive and responsive despite Subaru's best efforts to point the ride more like a car than a truck. That's a plus for me -- I've moved beyond bouncing. Bottom line, this car delivers what it promises.
Great Overall Car!!!
The car has sufficient power and handles very well. Very safe ride! Inside is roomy, comfortable, easy access to all controls. Love the instant manual shift! Sound system is great! Cup holders everywhere! Easy fold downs and back door lift is a pleasure to use! Lights under doors are a great option. Gas mileage avg 26.5 up to 31mpg on hwy. Ground clearance and 17" tires are nice! Rear view is not good and side view can be obstructive at times. First time Subaru owner- extremely pleased!!!!
