Picked up a metallic blue SV with Convenience package four days ago. I will be retiring next year and was looking for something to replace my 2007 Mini Cooper. This rides much better in town & on back roads. Although does not handle as well as the Mini, behaves more than adequately in normal driving, meaning predictably. Has more than enough conveniences for my needs. High in utility--can put my bicycle or a large dog inside & enough room for taking a short trip with my wife. The controls are much more intuitive than the Mini Cooper & easier to use.

great car if you don't need a transmission

This is a great little car, very comfortable, and handles nicely. The reliability sucks. We had to put a transmission in when the car was just two years old, and now are having to look at another transmission because it is out of warranty and past the one year warranty that the dealer provided with the replacement. I would not even recommend this car to an enemy.

Poor resale value

I have purchased this car and now regreting for my decision. Only one good part is fuel economy. In all other senses its a bad decision in view of facility, performance and resale value. Its resale value is remarkably low, even in next day of your purchase. There will be even 5000-6000 USD difference for low mileage excellent condition. So i will not suggest this one for many of hose people with over three family size and need to look for a resale or trade in option.

I do not feel safe in this vehicle

I thought this would be a good upgrade from the 09 versa hatchback and boy was I wrong. Everything that has gone wrong with the car, has, it is a 2014 and already rusting, the bumper fell off, the engine sucks, and the front end is a lot smaller that the 2009. I do not feel safe in this vehicle and as soon as I can pay it off, I am trading it in for something safer. The USB port doesn't work, I have to bring it in for maintenance all the time. It is just a poorly made car. The gas mileage is good but the rest has a lot of issues. My biggest concern is the safety. If I were to hit a deer or another vehicle, I am not sure I would be ok. If I lived where it doesn't snow or sleet, I would probably like the car more but it is not made for the northeast weather.

Nissan Versa Note 2014 SV Transmission Problems

Gus Rubio, Aldie, VA, 01/07/2019
Nissan Versa Note 1.6 SV 4dr Hatchback (1.6L 4cyl CVT)

Our CVT transmission just completely failed in a 2014 Versa Note SV with 103,000. I bought this new car and decided to buy it with zero miles because it was a great car. Bad move. The transmission began to slide, breaking and stopping the car. He towed it to the distributor. He said the cost would be $ 6000 to replace the entire transmission. I called Nissan Corporate but they did not help me. They said it's out of warranty. and this fault had been presented since before 60000 miles but they never wanted to recognize that the transmission presented problems and always left with what was another fault until now it is out of warranty they say it is the transmission, they did not even offer to pay 50% I have seen many problems with the CVT transmission. Something needs to be done. This is not quality and Nissan has to guarantee its cars up to 150000 miles. I will NEVER buy a Nissan vehicle., the quality of nissan is going down and it is the worst agency not worth the price for what they sell.
