Used 2018 Nissan Rogue SL 4dr SUV AWD (2.5L 4cyl CVT) Consumer Reviews
Reliable mechanically but the electronics are fail
The mechanical part of the vehicle is great but the idiotic electronics are poorly designed and get confused or fail regularly. Even something as small as no digital speedo show how little thought and even less testing went into this D class cockpit. Switches at knee height and out of sight, horrible navigation, confused communication between dash screens, infotainment shuts down and restarts. Been into service 3 times. Try Chrysler’s Uconnect system instead. Far superior!!! Update 9/5/19 Vehicle was so unsatisfactory I had the dealer buy it back and bought a F150. Never purchasing Nissan again.

great vehicle
With 20000 miles on our Rogue, we are still happy with it. Disappointed that the TMV has dropped so much compared with either a Rav4 (which we didn't care for) and the CRV (which we liked). So that is why I marked the value down to a poor rather than excellent. Have learned to live with the poor acceleration and the illogical controls. Handling is also subpar. Appear the Nissan Brand is falling rapidly as well do the mismanagement at the top. Will stick with either a Toyota or Honda next time.

Lemon
The Rogue by itself if a nice car but I’ve had nothing but trouble with the electronics system. It was constantly getting shorted out. I missed multiple appts when it had drained the battery and have had to call AAA to get a jump 5 times. I kept telling the service department what it was causing the battery drain but no one would believe me because they had to charge me $100 every time (outside of the original warranty) to do a diagnostic to get a code to tell them what I had been telling them for months, that it was the back tailgate shorting out the battery. I was forced to buy a new battery even though the one I had in there was still within the 3 year period of the warranty. It then continued to drain the new one within a year of getting that one. Twice! Because I’d gone through the 4 jumpstarts allowed by AAA I had to pay $100 for them to come the 5th time! I finally had to call Nissan Corporate to get some retribution. I still haven’t gotten any satisfaction. Also, can’t understand why when driving in the rain with windows open (I live in Hawaii) and wipers on it drives all the rain into the car and into your lap. Why didn’t they put like “J channels” on the body to make the rain go over the car instead of into the car?! I’ve told them also that the steering is getting iffy. It wanders and doesn’t hold the road as it should. I’ve owned, raced, and driven multiple vehicles and I generally can tell when something is wrong with my car, especially if I’ve owned it for 5 years!

Transmission
My transmission needed a replacement at 95,000 miles even though I drive very conservatively. The dealership charged me $7500.00 for the repair/replacement!
