Great car. Lots of tech. Plenty of power. Great gas mileage. Is it as good as a Lexus, Infinity or Mercedes? Probably not. Is it $40K to $60K less good? Definitely not. You get a very quiet, spacious comfortable car with plenty of pickup and all the features for $25K instead of $65K to $85K. Check it out.

GET THE 3.5L ENGINE - TOTAL PERFORMANCE

2017 Nissan Altima 3.5 SL 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl CVT)

Great car. Bought it as an Exec Driven car with about 4,000 miles on it. Unfortunately, they dropped the 3.5L engine (270HP) after 2017 and replaced it with a four cylinder Turbo for 2019. The 3.5L V6 engine makes a huge difference in the car. Great performance and you think you are driving more of a BMW/ Lexus performance car. Fast car and very maneuverable. Interior is leather and loaded with all the GPS and other electronics. I just replaced the Anti-Sway Bar, exhaust systems and Cold Air Intake with Stillen performance parts (a total cost about $1,100 all installed). Gets the car even more performance and the Anti-Sway bar is four times thicker than what is on it (and made of aircraft steel). Stiffer ride and corners very well. More rear headroom than the Nissan Maxima (comfortable to sit in back seat). A great choice for what money we had to spend. Great dealer service as well. The 2.5L is a good engine match for the Altima (have driven them from the Car Rental companies), but the 3.5L makes it a totally different car - a performance car - NOT an econobox. Why buy a performance sedan at double the price??? Tack on the extra performance parts from Stillen and you have a NISMO Altima 3.5L. At 31,000 - no problems. A recall on the hood latch which I will go in for the update. As for the add-on of the Performance Parts from Stillen - a great investment. It is like driving a 350Z with four doors. If you can find one used, pick it up - you won't regret it. the 3.5L makes a huge difference in performance. I have put more miles on my 2017 Nissan Armada and this car (the Altima) still has a new car smell. I need to drive it more so I don't put all the miles on the truck which is also a great vehicle. Sold it with about 34.000 miles on it (low mileage) and took the cash. Later on, bought a new 2023 Armada (got a great price). The Altima 3.5SL was a great car to drive. If you can find one used, it is a lot of car.

This car is amusing on the outside. It gives off a mean, sleek, sporty look to it and it serves well in performance. I currently have the mid trim model (SV) and it has about everything you would possibly want Except the touch screen, YET, it does have the backup camera installed. This car is packed with safety features including forward collision emergency braking, blind spot assist, and it packs a mean punch in Sports Mode( DS on gear shift) but sacrifices from an average of 35mpg to maybe 24mpg. There is lots of back seat room, large trunk space and lots of front room into the Altima sedan. As for interior, it’s pretty boring, a bit outdated, but it doesn’t take away from the experience. So far my car is amazing, with awesome safety features and overall great car!

Review of Altima SV

The SV model has pretty much all the features of the SL except leather. If you're not a fan of leather seats but want all the other toys, this is the car for you. Replaced a prior Altima after 13 years. Love the car and love the deal. They worked to our budget and did not try to oversell.

Leased a 2017 Altima 2.5s, the car is super comfortable to drive with the plush seating. Easily enough power to drive in any condition, uphill, passing, highway merging, no problem. Suspension is awesome and a nice quiet ride. Safety rating is 5 star. [non-permissible content removed]
